That was a penalty.

The only odd thing is that there should have been a hundred more blown in that game that were let go.

Correct….so many players pushed back down trying to play the ball...normally its a penalty in an instant...lots of this let go tonite
Harsh on offside early and then ...................................................nothing, last tackle plays attacking a tryline the play the ball the camera zooms in and you see players feet offside, not on the tryline...so NRL refs, is it a crackdown or what???

Funny game,
QLDer falls over, ref gives him 2 comp points...its an epidemic
JMK = a half playing hooker - hooked himself and replaced by a winger
Jack Bird = A-grade flog and sometime half, sometime who know what, also hooked for being a lazy S.O.B only running 3 times
Paine Haas...lives up to his name currently with a massive headache...
Sharon loses again LOL
and good old sandcorp beach is back..., players shouldve worn thongs wouldve fared better

And the NRL are planning on playing an entire round on that ground next year. Good luck.

The NRL has a massive stink about it these days.
The Broncos are the Indian Cricket Commission of the NRL, protected species who get given unbelievable favourable/corrupt decisions. Rigged.

Of course it's rigged … The NRL need at least 1 Queensland team to make the semis !

Melbourne will make the semis , there is your Qld side in the semis

Haha

Have the Broncos ever had a match winning decision go against them ?

These current ref's are twats and need to be moved on .

As for Canterbury..suck eggs !

I can’t remember which thread but I mentioned last week that I was sick of referees determining matches. Tonight momentum changed instantly when a knock on was not called from a bulldogs kick. It was so obviously a knock on. Imbecilic decision and momentum goes broncos way. Bulldogs dropped their heads due to frustration. Another game affected by refereeing blunders.

Hope the NRL lifts its game…terrible all around match from the refs

Unca will still manage to find something to moan about post-game. Would be handy to get gifted a couple of wins in the space of a few weeks though.

I blame the media first and foremost, then the NRL.

The NRL made the call to crack down, right or wrong the season started under that pretence, then they copped the bagging from the media and now appear to have caved in.

As usual Greenberg the politician is nowhere to be seen and I don't here the media talking about the recent change in the refs approach. Has Greenberg secumb to pressure to prolong his future?

If you ref a game to the letter of the law, it may be a whistlesathon however, the team that plays the best within the rules will win. If refs apply latitude/discretion the shape of the game changes and intentionally or unintentially the ref's play a part in the outcome.

Yep. It is absolutely disgraceful but sadly it is just accepted now that the game is corrupt at this level. Would be great to be one of the "chosen clubs" that is for sure, pretty much guaranteed success.

I would hate to think that there was a level of influence put on referees. I’m pretty sure that doesn’t happen. What I do think happens is referees subconsciously favour the power clubs. Refs are easily influenced in this way. But tonight was neither - just a totally crap decision and an absolutely unacceptable error

Sick and tired of Broncos getting a leg up from the NRL -

*Thursday/Friday night games nearly all year giving them 6/7 day turnarounds every week.

*Paid basically weekly for their television games.

*They don't take their home games to the country to promote the game.

*Every week it is the Broncos that get favored by the referees - and if it gets too close we have scenarios like tonight and our game a few weeks ago.

Why do we even bother with this NRL rubbish - we need a different competition run by an organisation that knows the game and how to run it!!!!

NO - we could call it ARL.

Super League were full of mongrel teams that almost brought this game of ours to it's knees.

I will never forget - seeing you brought it up, maybe you were a Super League supporter.

Did you read my post immediately after I wrote this? I share your frustrations fully! No I didn’t support Super League at all. Just having a bit of fun with your post.

The Arthurson run ARL was league at its best - no doubt

The Dogs not only had the howler of a call go against them but a heap of other ones. They were duded big time. Wonder why some teams always get the rub of the green and others get the rough end of the pineapple???

Broncos given 4 points this season so far by incompetent officials …. as Pay said last night IT IS LIKE WE WERE NOT SUPPOSED TO WIN (sour grapes maybe)then I thought of the penalty in front in the Tigers game. Interesting comments but when these blatant calls that regularly happen in Broncos games one has to wonder it is blatant to say the least.

I read on the LU forum that under Sutton the donkeys have won 12 straight matches at home.Under the present administration at the NRL many peoples perception of "favouritism" or "incompetence" is very high.Something smells like a rotten fish
