The only odd thing is that there should have been a hundred more blown in that game that were let go.

Correct….so many players pushed back down trying to play the ball...normally its a penalty in an instant...lots of this let go tonite
Harsh on offside early and then ...................................................nothing, last tackle plays attacking a tryline the play the ball the camera zooms in and you see players feet offside, not on the tryline...so NRL refs, is it a crackdown or what???

JMK = a half playing hooker - hooked himself and replaced by a winger
Jack Bird = A-grade flog and sometime half, sometime who know what, also hooked for being a lazy S.O.B only running 3 times
Paine Haas...lives up to his name currently with a massive headache...
Sharon loses again LOL
and good old sandcorp beach is back..., players shouldve worn thongs wouldve fared better

And the NRL are planning on playing an entire round on that ground next year. Good luck.

The NRL has a massive stink about it these days.
The Broncos are the Indian Cricket Commission of the NRL, protected species who get given unbelievable favourable/corrupt decisions. Rigged.

Of course it's rigged … The NRL need at least 1 Queensland team to make the semis !

I can’t remember which thread but I mentioned last week that I was sick of referees determining matches. Tonight momentum changed instantly when a knock on was not called from a bulldogs kick. It was so obviously a knock on. Imbecilic decision and momentum goes broncos way. Bulldogs dropped their heads due to frustration. Another game affected by refereeing blunders.

I blame the media first and foremost, then the NRL.

The NRL made the call to crack down, right or wrong the season started under that pretence, then they copped the bagging from the media and now appear to have caved in.

As usual Greenberg the politician is nowhere to be seen and I don't here the media talking about the recent change in the refs approach. Has Greenberg secumb to pressure to prolong his future?

If you ref a game to the letter of the law, it may be a whistlesathon however, the team that plays the best within the rules will win. If refs apply latitude/discretion the shape of the game changes and intentionally or unintentially the ref's play a part in the outcome.

Yep. It is absolutely disgraceful but sadly it is just accepted now that the game is corrupt at this level. Would be great to be one of the "chosen clubs" that is for sure, pretty much guaranteed success.

I would hate to think that there was a level of influence put on referees. I’m pretty sure that doesn’t happen. What I do think happens is referees subconsciously favour the power clubs. Refs are easily influenced in this way. But tonight was neither - just a totally crap decision and an absolutely unacceptable error
