Rubbish

There were definitely some improvements and good signs today (long range attack, in your face defence), but there is still HEAPS of work to do.

I think your comments were a tad harsh, this is definitely a reasonably accurate comment though.

A win IS a win,& a comprehensive one at that,based around a considerably improved defense that made canberra(like Cowboys,like Souths)look very ordinary.
Having said that,we have a lot of awful habits in attack which take the pressure off the oppostion,& which are ingrained.
These will tell against the better teams, starting next week

Probably the dumbest claim this year ozcrusader.

The conditions were aweful, the opposition are big, mobile and well supported - yet we still flogged them.

You put wingeing poms, ( or Golden), to shame mate - wake up to yourself.

What an absolutely pathetic performance - as usual, we were our own worst enemies. If Canberra weren't so appallingly bad, we would have got beaten today.

* The vast majority of the game was played IN OUR OWN HALF only because we were too useless to build and sustain any pressure
At half time, Canberra had completed 13/21 sets and the commentators were giving them flak. We had completed 15/21 - is that much better?
Drop balls, stupid penalties and how many times after we scored tries did we not complete sets?
As for the second half, ONCE AGAIN we didn't go on with it. We never go on with it. Every time we are up by 6 points the boys decide their job is done and go to asleep. If you are leading 19-0 at half time, then you put on another 20 and smash them, You don't let them back in the game. But we do - each and every week.

If anyone thinks this team make the top 8, you are deluding yourselves. Had we played pretty much anyone else, with all the possession and field position we gave them, we would have got hammered.

Mate it was a forwards game today and I'm pretty sure alot of the field position was on the back of penalties… We won a grinding game of the back of great defence. Not to mention a fair few dropped balls were the result of stiff defence or hard hits... reminded me of the Storm game at LO this year

Wake up

Well said Kaiser. The OPs judgement is sadly lacking. The conditions today did not allow for an open flowing type of game the Tigers prefer. We won through holding the Raiders in the middle and when opportunities arose we were good enough to capitalise. The Raiders are never a pushover at home and this was the largest winning margin the Tigers have had over them.
