Rugby league history

This is a rare "oldie"

Besides the interest in the Australia?France test match, note the school boys game under the Metropolitan Catholic Colleges comp - big back in the day.

And St Pat's Strathfield was playing rugby league back then, before turning into a rugby union school a couple of years later.
Many Wests Magpies boys came through there, and later were to move to Wests Rugby Union.
These days, the school strengths have gone onto rugby and soccer.

I was taught by the St Pats Coach - BV Couch, though he was no longer a Christian Brother at that point. Great bloke.

The MCC doesn't exist any more either, disbanded a few years back.

That's history - I've heard of him - he is a legend.
You must be too. ;)

Couchie was so venerable that he taught me, and my Dad some 30 years earlier. Funnily enough he did teach History, though I don't think you meant it that way.
