We lost Langer , Meninga ,Vautin , Hancock and the great Bobby Lindner who carried a broken leg for 20 minutes
Played the last part of the game with 12 players
Wally scored the magic individual try ....

Vale Russell Mullins - Wests Magpies champion winger of the 70s

Yesterday, Russell passed away aged 72.
He was a 113 first-grade game veteran for Wests Magpies, playing between 1971-77.
(Russell also appeared in 18 first grade matches for Penrith between 1978-79)

Phil Blake was a star of the 80s and 90s in both the Winfield Cup and English Competition, with his blinding speed thrilling the crowds as he carved through opposition defenses.

He scored 186 tries in his 316 first grade games (combined Aus & UK) for the 8 clubs he played for, including the first ever try for the Warriors in the 1995 Winfield Cup.

Manly Sea Eagles, Warrington Wolves, South Sydney Rabbitohs, Wigan Warriors, North Sydney Bears, Canberra Raiders, St George Dragons, & Auckland Warriors.
