Firstly ,I was/am a huge “Jimmy “Jack fan and rather than besmirch his name I simply raised it as something I was told
(Indirectly through a player) subsequent to the game. Ie “what caused such a ferocious beating by a player who was not directly involved in the original confrontation”
Whilst I was confident my source was correct.,from the depth and passion of your comments I may have been erroneously advised. It seems to qualify as speculation only. Such things happen relating to just about every game each weekend, and have done for years.
At my age I certainly don’t want to even consider the need to defend myself, so I certainly won’t get involved in discussing it in print, or verbally, ever again.

If I remember correctly Jack had stated that something was said but not by him . A case of mistaken identity for which he got the most unfair beating ( two were holding his arms while Robert’s went on his face like a punching bag
