17 July 1943, huge crowds pictured at a rugby league match between Newtown and North Sydney at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

The game was played in front of a crowd of 33.173 fans with North Sydney winning 16 - 10.

I remember we all laughed at how the blokes all wore hats.

And he "loved" the refs:
