Rugby league history

I thought this was Brandon Pearson. They look very similar

Champion @kiwitiger - this is a funny one.
He initially played under the name Brandon Pearson, and that's who we fans knew him when he started playing for Wests Magpies.
Then, later; in 1999, he changed his surname to Costin, the actual reason being somewhat "clouded."
Either way, it sure is the one and the same player.

TERRY REYNOLDS GETS A HAIRCUT IN 1971

Terry caused major controversy in 1970 ,when he was sacked from First Grade by the Berries for refusing to cut his hair
At the time, he was regarded as one of the games best Halfbacks and his threats to quit the club were splashed across the front pages of the daily newspapers

They can go to hell Reynolds told the Daily Mirror at the time
Next they'll be telling me how to dress

Terry would eventually compromise with Kevin Ryan who was the coach at the time, on getting his hair partly cut and wearing a headband and he was reinstated back in the top grade.

After further trouble in 1971- during which Terry had the distinction of potting the first one -1 point field goal in First Grade - it was clear Terry would leave the club; and he did - to Parramatta

Terry passed away 18October, 2007
