Yes champion @Oldman, the one and the same: champion winger one day, champion second rower the next.
"Snoozer" had been a lifesaving sprint champion before playing league with Wests Magppies.
And became a feared forward ...
Sadly, he passed away 4/2/24, at age 76.

In Round 20, 1995, a brawl broke out between the Steelers and Balmain Tigers. Stanley jumped in, and referee Tony Maksoud sent him to the sheds.

Illawarra fullback Brendan O’Meara and Tigers legend Mark O’Neill got into a fight that spilled toward the sideline.
Stanley the Steelers mascot thought he he'd join in to protect him crew.

Referee Tony Maksoud famously pointed to the tunnel and yelled "You, off!" because a mascot cannot touch players under any circumstances.
