The game now is a poor shadow of the game that's been around for over a hundred years. They blamed St George for changing to the limited tackle rule. Now TV is to blame for other changes since then.

I actually blame the coaches. It is them and them alone that have changed our game. I should add to that weak-kneed refereeing. The rules have always been sufficient but failing to stick to the intent of the rule book has led us here too.

While some clubs have more of a say than others it will always be a train wreck anyway.

I for one couldn't agree more coaches to many interchanges and some of the rule changes haven't helped our game .2 referee after watching new Zealand and Australia with the one ref it worked ok . the other thing how the salary works some clubs can have 10 or so test and origin players and be under the cap others with 4 are well over the cap. we were all told when the commission came into being all would be roses sorry have I missed something we are going backwards.

:question: easy, ban clubs from employing wrestling coaches! Then penalise all players that use wrestling tactics in the games. Although I guess you can't expect monkeys on sticks to understand that.

I agree spearby , and with Dave Smith and his muppets running the show we've gone backwards big time IMO .

The days are gone where the forwards tire and halfbacks control the 2nd half of the game and it's because of the number of interchanges we have in a game, I would like to see 4 reserves and once you have been changed its the showers for you.
There going 100 miles an hour and it's contributing to the injuries of the players and burnout and the Muppet of the league Smith is proposing 4 x 25 minute quarters, nice to know that our game is being run by someone who had never played the game.

My BIGGEST gripe is when the attacking team is held up in goal (before the last tackle) and they get to to go back to the ten , compose themselves and have another crack . There is absolutely no reward for defence these days IMO .

I too would be happy with 4 subs . These days players walk off at half time , have a chat with the sideline commentator looking fresh as a daisy !

ink I remember col pearce talking about it I think it may have been on controversary corner on 7 a long time ago may be it may have been in uk but col did say the fans were saying the refs were cheats
