neither of you are correct…

4 players have played for Australia; Qld & NSW in the same year?

http://www.rugbyleagueproject.org/matches/interstate-series-1981/game-1/qld-firsts-vs-nsw-firsts/summary.html

http://www.rugbyleagueproject.org/competitions/interstate-series-1980/summary.html

This is the key to the whole argument Watto

Unless this info is wrong it can only be one or the other

The key to unlocking your argument is your forgeting AUSTRALIA!

In 1980 it can only be Boustead ,Reddy ,Quinn or Morris

In 1981 it can be only Boustead ,Ribot ,McCabe ,Morris

They are the only blokes that played from Qld in the NSW sides

You are now missing another point which I stated earlier, it didnt happen in the same year.

The question didnt start with 'In the same year, 4 players…' - It was "4 players have represented..."

And your hero Ribot didnt debut for Queensland until 1982!

Well it could of only happened in 80 or 81

And the list of players are there …....

Unless you are playing with dates as a year May 21 1980 to May 20 1981 it can't different .......

FMD [sorry Willow] :bash :bash :bash :deadhorse:

I'll wait to see if someone else gets the correct answer, but next time I'll ask a question a 5 year old can answer so you can play.

Geo wants his peace pipe back Watto

In the same year BB. You think the answer is going to relate to 1980/81 when the interstate games were a mix of residency and origin but I guess there was nothing before then to stop someone moving state midyear.

Just PM the bloody answer and I'll try and work out your logic

I get this feeling Geo and I will be lolling at you for a very long time (well longer than we currently are  )

Okay Watto needs to clarify the question. As I understand it, the question is which 4 players have played for NSW, Qld and Australia in the same calendar year. Not necessarily all 4 in the same year, just that all 4 achieved the feat in a single year of their personal careers. And all did it in rugby league. Is this true Watto?

Boustead Reddy Close and Morris or Wally the Wanker in Union

Kerry Boustead is definitely one. I'm not sure Chris Close ever played for NSW.

Morris and Reddy both did it in 1980\. So I'm going to say:

Boustead, Reddy, Morris and Paul McCabe but with the added wrinkle of saying Dally Messenger also did this AND played for NZ in 1908.

Close didn't play for NSW , so you can rule that one out

Don't take the neg to heart Happy, we all love you that was one of your worst posts

Bousted 80
Rod Morris 80
Rod Reddy 80

I reckon someone like Duncan Thompson may have done it in the 20's or one of the greats from that era

Did NSW play against any touring Test sides in 1980/81

It has to be all from the same year Goose and that's where it has me lost

Ribot didn't play test footy until 1982
