I have been told by a former club insider who im sure still has good contacts as he was at the club for years, that Benji did what he liked when he liked with Sheens. But Potter wont stand for that and tells Benji how it is. Apparantly Benji hates it.
The way Siro has gone of late, it does make you think that maybe building this team without Benji as soon as 2013 could be in our best interets long term.

This might sound wrong to some supporters but the thought of Benji maybe leaving does not make me nervous or worried , not 1 bit . Still haven't seen any form to suggest that he is gonna get back to his best or enough to make you wanna sign him past 2015.

Great to hear Potter is cracking the whip! A long time over due, no one is greater than the team or club!!!! bring on the juniors and a new culture.
Benji is a myth… he came along at the right time and place. Fast play the balls and fancy touch passes. A big crowd pleaser and the darling of the press. Now there is no fast play the ball and there is no fancy fleet of foot. Ah...that is but a memory my dear benji... never to return. He and Sheens have cost us dearly. I just wish that he would go to the highest bidder (not us) so that we can really become a force. We are on the threshhold of greatness...so near and yet so far.
Tend to agree with all this.. Benji is signed till 2015… What's the rush to extend him??? Halfway through 2014 we should know if we need/want him beyond 2015... Not now... Based on his form 2012-13 I wouldn't be paying him more than $400k + whatever he can earn in 3rd parties...if we were to keep him beyond 2015\. If someone wants him before 2016 and are prepared to pay WT a hefty transfer fee I say good luck to him...
