Rumour, Comings and Goings 2009 / 2010 season...

If the rules are very tight and conditions to off field behaviour are agreed to I would take Mason.

Agree.

It may seem a little harsh but I think Willie and Arana should be kept well away from each other if this magically happened.

Still big questions over his performance though

I have a feeling Mason will play well wherever he ends up. There's no doubt that he was at one stage a very, very good forward. Perhaps the best in the world. At the moment he's a bit of a joke. If he plays this season, his legacy and reputation are on the line. I can't help but feel the man's ego is so great that this will induce a response. For that reason he'd be a more than useful acquisition to play off the bench.

Having said that, I can't help but feel the man is a bit of a cancer. Ever since he left the Bulldogs, they've cleaned their act up. Short after his arrival (and that of O'Meley) at the Roosters, the club's players perpetrated a shocking string of incidents. Maybe it's just correlation, but I can't help but feel it's a cause and effect thing

Just saw Danny Weidler on Channel 9 news and he reckons the Tigers have been in discussions with Willie Mason's agent for the last 48 hours. Steve Humphreys said he found it surprising he still didn't have a club. Please, not us.

wake me up when this night mare is over

You can imagine the Tigers wanting the roosters to pay 80% of his contract for him to sign with us. Something similar to what happened with Payten, only them covering a lot more of the salary.

Don't know what to make of it really.

Willie for 50k? Maybe. Just maybe. If anyone can tame Willie its Sheens

Rocky's Gone - Confirmation

From bbc

Super League side Crusaders have completed the signing of Italian international Rocky Trimarchi.

The 24-year-old, who can play at either prop, back-row or centre, has joined from Australian club Wests Tigers.

Trimarchi is the Crusaders' seventh winter signing as the Welsh club prepare for their Super League opener with champions Leeds on 29 January.

The Crusaders new boy made his Italian international debut against Greece aged just 17 in 2003.

The Australian-born player will link up with one of his old Tigers team-mates Ryan O'Hara at The Racecourse and both men scored a try in Trimarchi's NRL debut in a 42-16 victory over Cronulla Sharks in 2006.

Tim Sheens, his old coach at West Tigers and the current Australian national coach, predicts Trimarchi will relish his Super League opportunity.

Sheens said: "Rocky has suffered a bit with Gareth Ellis coming into the club and the fact that we've got a lot of strength in the back row.

"He has been looking for a new opportunity and I think he'll do well in Super League."

Trimarchi is the latest addition to new coach Brian Noble's Crusaders squad as he joins Great Britain prop Jamie Thackray, centre Tony Martin, half-back Michael Witt and hooker Tommy Lee in Wrexham.

Moltzen re-signed until the end of 2012,so this is a non event,Taumata will shine and people will forget the last 3 seasons without a half.

I read last week that Kimorly had diecided to stay with the dogs is some capacity as his long term goal is a senior coaching position.

I think he had played reallly wll last year, but the Tigers are a team based on youth and flare these days.

No doubt about it.
He will be one of the first signed along with Heignington & Florima

Heignington is no HUGE loss he is does go, as he will be at the end of his career.

But Moltzen would be a huge loss… the only thing thats in our favour, he thinks the world of Sheens, and Marshall and him are very close... i know Prince was to but Coast to Balmain isnt that far away from Family..

You never know

Its cos he keeps picking his favourites even though they slack off at training eating lollies and ice creams while champions in the lower grades are left to rot without dinner or sweeties.
