I think even if his contract is torn up he cant play for the Sharks this year because we are past the cut off date.
Interesting, I wonder if the club will confirm this?
If so it just makes the decision to let him go to the Sharks more justified, I hope for Andrew's sake that he isn't another talent who throws his career away.

It's a shame really.
When he's on his game he is devastating but unfortunately you can have all the potential in the world and unless you have the right attitude coupled with it that potential is useless.
Hope he goes to Cronulla and turns it around though, would hate to see him fall into the category of potential young stars that get that big pay day and never kick on.

I saw that he hadn't been named for BRET and was gonna ask if he had been dropped.
After the woeful game he had against the Bears (Who's 1st pack is basically playing for the Rabbits)…. It wouldn't have taken much for Sheensy to spear him!!
It's a shame, I really thought he was gonna tear the NRL a new one...
But his on/off-field attitude really hasn't been up to NRL std this year...

I agree with the masses here in that he has mentally clocked off for us but i hope he kicks on at the sharks aside from 2 quiet games a year against us!
Glad to see him go. Groat, Woods and BMM are better players and the future of the great club.
He will be another player who had some much potential but throw it all away as he is not prepared to put in the hard yards and behave himself.
Fifita has to learn it's a prilivage to play NRL and earn very good money that most people will never earn.

Did anyone read this weeks RLW? In the Mole Section, it made comment of a player who was recently dropped to NSW Cup had been naughty???
For someone like Fifita to reach his potential, he needs a Wayne Bennet style influence off the field.
