If Nathan Brown coaches us next year we will finish out of the top eight. The guy is a train wreck!

Folkes needs to be our coach in 2013 to instill a spine in our first grade side!

:sign:

X 1,000 I hope old Georgie is wrong on this like he always is

Sheens is still no certainty to stay. A new coach will be named within the next 3-4 weeks once all the interviews/expressions of interests are complete. If wests tigers named a coach with in 2 weeks of sacking sheens it would be incompetency to the enth degree.

If they don't interview atleast 3-5 coaches for this role then they haven't done their job

He got Stains to the semis 4 times out of 6 attempts.
Need I remind you of Sheens' semis record here?

Ahh Ink your comparing apples to oranges. Throw in our lemons and then what have got?

Many of u will eat ur words.

brown is good and won't be run over by blokes like benji and robbie. Can't wait to see our attack improve tenfold, jus the defense I'm uncertain about.

Hes fresh and will provide spark. Hello semis 2013.

Agree SG ..and it may give Tim some leverage if it was proven they started negotiations while he was still under contract and this could be deemed as constructive dismissal. The other thing to consider is the Club probably needs Tim to find a new coaching job as much as we need to find a new coach so that any payout is minimised.

This is where ''the position the Trodden could not describe" ….the '''other job for Tim, not necessarily anything to do with the NRL players" is supposedly the Ace up WTs sleeve........you'd hope....surley the club couldnt be that stupid, as its clear they will negotiate while hes still contracted....no proof reqd.

Just want to clear up a few facts about Nathan Brown, firstly he 'was' the coach of the Huddersfield Giants and had a reasonable run with them until the last 2 seasons, then things went from bad to worse, so bad in fact that Brown was sacked earlier this season and a caretaker coach was in charge for the rest of the season.
He has been contracted to coach St Helens from next season, St Helens will be appearing in this weekends Stobart ESL Grand Final, St Helens were coached earlier this season by Royce Simmons before he too was sacked and again their are caretaker coaches in charge of the Saints, Keiron Cunningham and one other.
Not every coach who has coached in the UK come back a better coach than what we already have here in the NRL, Brian McLennan has had a hugely sucessful career at Leeds and look what happened this season at the Warriors, Grand Finalists last season and bugger all this year, had to fall on his sword and resign gracefully.
Now remember that Nathan Brown is contacted to St Helens and we would be the last club to encourage someone to break their contract wouldn't we, because the last time we did that look what a train wreck it turned out to be!.

Thank you happy. I was thinking, throw in our lemons and things could go sour pretty quick, especially with a young coach.

Ink..should have said before they met with Tim as that could be construed to be constructive dismissal . David is a lawyer so whilst he wouldn't have drawn up Tim's contract he would have had input into the contract and they must have put a clause in it that allowed Tim's position to be changed without triggering a breach of contract. Maybe it was built around the 'coaching director' role but didn't specify a timeframe. Either way there is a reason why they are going down this path and I dont think its about showing respect for Tim. With the amount of stuff ups that have occurred recently makes me think they probably have offered Tim the coaching director role cause that is what they had to do and are hoping Tim finds another Club and rejects it. If Tim were call their bluff and accept it ..can you imagine the turmoil that would result. Bet we have a very nervous Chairman, Board of Directors & CEO right now

Gold just to clear up the ESL Grand Final this weekend St Helens won't be playing as Hodgo's Wolves knocked them out. It's Warrington Vs Leeds. Hoping Hodgo the legend caps off a brilliant year by winning the premiership!!!

Wow S&H, Hodgo is bloody amazing! 7 years after winning the GF with us he is still killing it, what a champion! Seems like he's been around forever, he must be close to 40 by now lol. We were nuts to let him go off too early, unless of course he actually wanted to go.
