Rumour - Nathan brown to coach tigers 2013

I think he is an underated coach.

His record at Saints was actually pretty good (albeit with very good cattle), he has then left and improved for a further 6 years in English super league, he would be my second choice. Behind Potter.

I agree, he made it to two pre-lim finals. Definitely no mug

The mole in RLW is saying we are cash strapped, havent paid all our players, and seperate article Parish is still favourite, man George I hope you are right I don't want Parish anywhere near our club.

Not really convinced on this one if true would prefer folks or walters if it was parish i would have thought it would be already so i guess thats one positive, brown is still better than parish imo if allan jones is backing him thats a worry

I find that a bit hard to believe. I know there is no Balmain money, but it appears there is some on the Wests side, and Harry has a few dollars

But , if they are in cash trouble some people should be booted.

Agreed we shouldn't be broke and I doubt we are but we are one of the poorer clubs in the NRL

8 Clubs are privatley owned - although that hasn't really helped the gold coast but we beat them last year

Of those who arent privatly owned the following clubs all get significantly more from thier leagues clubs then we do (yes partly because balmain cant afford anymore at the moment and it needs to be even) - Bulldogs, Parramatta, Dragons, Penrith

So really only leaves us on the bottom rung as far as the NRL teams go with the Sharks as we survive virtually independent of any outside support (I believe it was $600k last yr all up).

Actually I thought StGI had had their grant from the Leagues club cut substantially. I will check with a mate, but I am sure that they are suffering.

Wests tigers aren't cash strapped. Rlw mole is as bad as weidler. Also if it is a done deal it's happened quick. Brown is still contracted over seas so wests pay out sheens then have to pay browns team as well?

Not bloody likely

Hasn't it been widely reported that Brown has an out clause to return to the NRL if he got the chance?

hence why we aren't paying out sheens, if he quits it's on his own accord meaning we pay nothing. It's dodgy, but that's how it currently stands.

So ToyotaGeorge…..

Balls in you court....care for right of reply?

I'd be happy with Brown.

I really don't understand the negative reaction his name brings.

Do people realise he took Huddersfield from dead last to a grand final?

He should never have been appointed at the Dragons. He was too young and coaching the mates you played with was a recipe for disaster from day one.

hit that nail on the head pretty well me thinks😉

I think he's served a great tough apprenticeship….been thru some very tough times, has an idea whats in store in the NRL....has done very well in England....I think the timings right for him back here...how would St Helens feel though?
I cant see him dropping them in it at the last minute....their pre season training wouldnt be too far away either I guess

Benji needs a few of these 2-3 times a year…

Watto he usually needs them a few times a half of football ,even on the good days
