Rumour One Day, Confirmed Signing The Next

Basically Yeti. Occam's razor is generally an approach using reductionism and simplicity. It's generally geared toward theoretical problems and such (if a theory is less complex it is easier to prove/disprove.)

The simplest solution tends to be the best one.

Was that a low flying 747 that just passed over me??

Did it knock the tree down?

seems to me like we've front loaded some contracts (and maybe backloaded some like Lawrence as well). Which means we'll have a tonne of space at the end up the year (close to a mil) and will sign 1 or 2 BIG names for a massive push for the GF in 2016/17.

I like the sound of that phyR3!

Lawrence was very backended by the sheenius.
He will be our highest paid behind Farah this coming season.
Depressing.

I don't think anyone would have had a problem with that at the time.

True, it was in the pre season of 2011\. Rd3 that season he dislocated the hip. At the time most(including me)were hailing it a great signing and anointing him the Captaincy whenever Robbie retired.

He was being chased heavily by the Dogs, and was the best centre in the world at that stage, that's how much talent he had, and at the time there was nothing wrong with that decision from Sheens, and i'm a massive Sheens critic. The guy wasn't a psychic who could predict a freak injury that would take all his physical capabilities away. There isn't one supporter who would have been unhappy the day they announced his contract extension, and anyone that says otherwise is a liar.

Don't worry Flippedy we may get the spoon next year but we'll have the best books in the NRL and the best looking salary cap unders.

Last time we were well under we won the silverware didn't we?

Fingers crossed history will repeat itself I could do with another year like that one

Look I thought Rowdy would become the best centre in the game , but at his best he might of been No 4 in Australia behind Inglis ,Hodges and Lyon

I was referring to the length of the deal.
4 years is for superstars. Lawrence has potential but not 4 year deal potential.

This is the thing that pisses me off the most. When most other clubs are rumoured to be signing a player, it's usually all done and dusted within a week or so, but not at WT. No, any player signing rumours connected to us last for weeks, months even years sometimes (remember the marquee prop? ).

So, year after year, all we end up with is numerous hopeful threads of about 1,000 pages that finish in disappointment 9 times out of 10 because the player we're supposed to be courting ends up staying put or signing elsewhere! It's so damn frustrating!

So if I start a rumour, you want the club to address that rumour straight away even though it may be just a figment of my imagination? Wow.

As for Lawrence. Before he was hurt, have no doubt, he WAS the best centre in the world.

Lawrence has never been at the Inglis , Hodges or Lyon level , even at his best

He would of reached it though , that I won't deny

Lawrence was a superstar in the making. If not for that injury, he'd be the best centre in the game at present.
