Rules for Viisa eligibility:
Players - Initial Applications – Non discretionary Requirements

These requirements apply to all non EU nationals. In normal circumstances the RFL will consider the last two complete seasons prior to the application date. However where applications are made in mid season or where there are other relevant reasons the RFL will decide which seasons are to be considered relevant. (see below for discretionary procedures).

The player must have achieved at least one of the following standards:
NRL - The player has played in 50% of NRL 1st Grade appearances in NRL games including play off games but not pre season games in the qualifying period.
State of Origin - The player has played in one State of Origin match in the qualifying period.
International – Tier 1 Countries - The player has played in one match in the 2008 World Cup or a Tri/Four Nations Match or a Test Match in the qualifying period.
International - Tier 2 Countries - The player has played one match in the 2008 World Cup or has played 50% of RLIF officially recognised International matches in the qualifying period.
International - Tier 3 Countries - The player has played in 75% of RLIF/RLEF officially recognised International matches in the qualifying period.
Rugby Union Players - The player meets the current GBE requirements as published on the relevant home Union website from time to time.

That looks like very old information. Might still be close to accurate though. Under those rules Mannah wouldn't be eligible

Just ran into Mick Potter at Sydney airport.
He is coaching wenty and going nz for a game.
Asked him about Tim mannah and he said he is not sure what's going on but not traveling with team due to a "knee injury". Not sure if true or not but he seemed truthful talking to him. Top bloke.

@clokan Hard to believe they would take Packer off us and also go for Waqa.. I would love to see us shed any sort of money

Well, Parra have been looking for another prop with no luck. And whenever a player is purported to be having trouble with their coach, there's always another coach thinking, "I can get him going again."

If true, I imagine they'll want a large financial incentive. I'll be very grateful if we can get anything for Packer before July.

In saying that, if we're paying a hefty sum, we may as well pay him to sit on the sidelines rather than have another team gain advantage.

Ok back to the Mannah signing... Has this actually been announce yet or does anyone know if it is actually going to happen ?

DT saying he could be back flipping.

That is impressive. I didn't think Mannah had that sort of agility

He wants to play on next year in NRL.

If Parra change their minds whixk.looks unlikely on light of their good win tonight, thwn the scenario would change otherwise if the door remains open here at the Tigers, we should see him added to.the squad.

I find this funny that HE was the one that approached us and the media will not clarify that and make out that the Tigers lose another target... We really need to get a decent signing just to take the pressure off us. On a side note though it would be a dog act to pull out now if it is true..

Just don't listen to the media then. I reckon the club pretty much doesn't care about media "pressure". The best way to remove negative press is to win.

That is what got us into the Josh Reynolds situation!

I completely agree. It is amazing the amount of people screaming for a signing just to get a signing when it is all about TARGETING the right signings, the philosophy of just chasing anybody who becomes available causes the problems that we have now(DWZ would have been another causing future problems imo)

Reynolds was a desperation signing after we loss players, we threw way too much money and years at him just so we could change the narrative!

Triple M interviewed brad Arthur this afternoon and he said mannah is now staying at the eels

Is that a joke? Screw him then!! We can get somewhat better than that surely

Unlikely. We have the pulling power of a dead donkey.

I'm guessing a development player will be promoted to the final roster spot..

Would be the only option if we can’t offload some deadwood
