Run Home and Finals Hopes

Does it matter? even if we made it to the finals we would only be making up the numbers.

Yeah lets not bother…may as well go to Bali now... :unamused:

I'm not saying give up. I want this team to play their best for every game. I'm just saying our best will not win a final should we make it there. We have too many positions made up of average joes. I'm looking forward to 2020 honestly.

Our best will win a final. Our problem is not playing to our best, and giving away possession and field position through unforced errors.
**If**we can regain our early season desire and form, Wests Tigers can beat any other team. With the additions of Farah and Mbye we should be very competitive, but we have to lose the unforced errors. If everyone stays fit, it is do-able.

Regardless of whether we make the finals or not, this year has been a whole heap better than previous years….hopefully Ivan has the right cattle to get us further next comp...

I don't see the raiders getting to the finals without their captain and seizer.

Check their run home aswell…they only play teams in the 8 apart from us

Unless we win 5/6 games sadly we will probably finish 9th seeing as the raiders will likely only win about 2 games max

To make the 8 we have to get past Broncos (two wins ahead of us) and Warriors (3 wins).

Broncos have an easier draw from here than Wests Tigers and all the bottom 8 teams. Warriors have a less easy run but still easier than the bottom 8 sides.

Forget it. The top 8 is decided, except for the order within it. . No bottom 8 sides will make it. We're playing for pride.
Bottom 8

I don’t want to be negative but I don’t see the Tigers playing finals
We have to win every match from here on in to have a chance of playing finals
All those wins which we lost by 2 points are coming back to haunt us

Never say never , whilst there are points up for grabs we are still a slight chance
We beat the dragon , and lost lawrence during that game and he has been very good for us , but when he went off we still got home , if we can beat Souths and I think we will we are a big chance to sneak in , other teams like Parra , Canberra , Cows could upset a few in the 8 , I have not looked at who plays who but it can happen , we can start this weekend with an upset over Souths and once you start to get a couple of wins you go better , we also have Fanua to come back and he was just starting to fire prior to his injury ,

Our season relies on Farah and Marshall. If these 2 don't turn up, we won't go anywhere. The rest are gonna be as hot and cold as usual, but if Farah or Marshall go down we won't win anything.

The first step would be to never wear that Members jersey again. Every time we have worn it we have lost.

I agree, frustratingly happens for majority of seasons. :deadhorse:
Yes once again, season 2018 is no different, more than likely will result in no top 8 finish. :brick:

What about the ones we won by two points or less?? That scramble style play where we fought till the last minute has been a positive and a negative

I can't wait until we meet the Raiders, need a win to keep climbing the ladder, have everything to play for and get beat by 50.

…...seen that before somewhere...

I think this time we take the raiders on we'll make a better crack of it - particularly if we get into a lead.

Croker although not what I'd consider individually brilliant is the glue that holds that team together.

Too many crazies in that team.

Need some mental toughness against the Raiders - they seriously aren't that good - Parramatta have a better looking team on paper.

In the week leading up to the raiders game invite Terry Lamb to training - get him to demonstrate his 1988 grand final defensive style. Then use it against Hodgson in the first set of 6\. We win. Simples!

We would be down to 12 on the field for the rest of the game.Dog shots are only let go when they are against us

I'll back us until it is mathematically impossible

It's our team , win lose or draw

Surely one season they will shock the Christ out of us , hopefully this is the one

If Brisbane lose tonight and we beat Souths its on.
And with the players we have added we are a better balanced team.
This could be the weekend it oens up for us.
