Just in case you were thinking of not jumping?

Those are really damning stats.
To those who think our club is unfairly treated…do you now see?

Remember the glory days of finishing 9th? To reach those lofty levels on this running table we would need to go undefeated for two seasons and The Cowgirls would need to go winless. If we can win every game by 40 points on average we might even sneak into the top 8 with a marginally positive points differential but Canberra or Manly would also need to go winless for two seasons. Sadly two teams cannot lose all of their games and regardless we would still be relying on teams in positions 10 through 15 to have very ordinary seasons. More likely we will never see WT in the top 8 of the running table in our lifetimes. We seriously suck!

Snapshot of our last 100 games going back 4 years to June 2020. 24 wins, bloody hell its been pathetic.

Dolphins have nearly caught our wins total in 18 months of existing in the NRL with 62 less games.

No question the Tigers and Doggies have been putrid shit for the last half decade. -1000 PD is diabolical and shows just how bad our D has been for a long time. We might get around to looking at that issue one day. Lets be honest though Nofo probably let in 500 of that.

Not exactly the shock of the century considering we are the only team in that timeframe to not have played finals footy.

Those stats really hit home how poor we’ve been.😩
We could win only 24% of our last 100 games.

Is it any wonder we have trouble with recruitment and retention.

Anyway, when you look at the positives, we’re on track for improvement with a 26% winning ratio this season (keep it up boys!) and that improvement can probably be put down to getting rid of Brooks eh?

Looks like we have another record - worst team in the last decade 😎
The other clubs are so far ahead of us its difficult to see that gap closing for a few years. Maybe longer if we continue trying to take shortcuts. Our logic is wrong imo, we think a couple of players who play ok at their existing club will magically turn our fortunes. We've been doing this for 13 years and, correct me if I'm wrong, but the stats posted here by Winston suggest its failing.
I'd like to see the club develop the organisation, the players and the entire workforce. To be the club that players want to come to, we need to have a strong focus on improving the reputation of our existing players. I don't see much evidence of that?

Dogs have bought a heap of players who did well at other clubs and have somehow managed to turn their fortunes around. I guess they bought better ones and have got the right balance. We have much better juniors than they do, but some of the previously good players who came here have been extremely disappointing, we should be doing better.

NRL started in 98.
I suspect we arent the worst since then as some squads have covered themselves in shit just as much. Knights have had 4 spoons, Parra, Dogs and Rabbits have had 3 each.
Probably should count the exploits of Balmain and Wests? They were both turd buckets in 98 & 99 with Wests receiving the spoon both years and after having completed 46 games returned the stats of 656 scored (14.26/game) and 1746 against (37.96/game) ...a combined points differential for those 2 years of -1090 lol. Lest we forget what an abortion they were.
We have also had the least amount of finals appearances during the NRL era
We'd be in the bottom couple you'd suspect.

I can think of 4 'rebuild eras' since 2012. The Marina Go 2015 statement "we will be top 4 by 2017" has always hit bitter knowing how shit things were back then and they were doing absolutely nothing behind the scenes to make that happen. 13 years of missing the finals and rebuild after rebuild and the constant 'we have the best juniors coming through' tagline hasnt worked thus far. I just hope the kids we are actually seeing coming through now (if treated/nurtured/coached correctly) can finally be the era the die hard fans have been searching for.
