Russell Packer

Hasn’t it all become a bit boring to continue to slag off Rusty Packer? This is his last year with WT, 99% he won’t be renewed, he’ll probably play a few games this year but is as far down the pecking order in 2021 as ever, with some legitimate first-grade-ready replacements coming in.
He’ll do everything the club asks of him, turn up to train hard and do community work. Then shuffle off quietly to retirement or some low-key destination.

Not just slagging him off,

He and any player that signs on to play for our club needs to put in.

I am resigned to doing my money for 2021 but there's no way we have to cop the rort

Wests Tigers Super Fund providing future security for another player.

To think we could of got a medical retirement for him but he declined, defied the odds and managed to get through the whole pre season and came back the first game this year.
That’s determination!

Not his fault we signed him up for for 4 years on big cash. He had every right to collect his pay cheques.

It's unfortunate all the injuries he's had since joining.

His hit on Matterson will be a highlight for the Wests Tigers for a long time 😂

Buzz Rothfield reporting; 'Tigers have whiffed on another big name signing, as Russell Packer has signed a new long term contract with his couch.'

He retired years ago and has only announced it after screwing the club for every cent he could.

How so? The club screwed itself offering him 750-800k, the same way they signed Reynolds and Mbye to inflated contracts. Yet people wanna blame the players 🤦‍♂️

No respect for this bloke at all.

I love the guy. Knocked Matterson halfway to China. How can you not love him for that.

Exactly lol.

It’s his right to stay and take whatever money he was owed. Club’s problem for not foreseeing him becoming an injury-riddled mess after one season.
