That logic is pretty clear cut, but so is the motivation for Ukraine to keep them. They have always known this day was coming and the commitment that the UK & the US made has been shown to be vapor. Putin knows this. I think NATO is finished and Putin will soon prove this.

The US isn't declining rather it is in a 3 way power sharing arrangement. They have only declined relative to the 90s and early 2000s when for a few brief years they had relative hegemony which wasn't great anyway. American anger is more a reality of the end of their exceptionalism.

I was not referring to checks external to the country (the bounds of which are currently being explored), I was referring to the internal checks on his power, of which there appear to be few.
I think the fact that the soviets lost so many in WW2 is probably a good reason why they would not be so eager to be thrown back into war. I don't doubt that Putin has attempted to sow fear about US/Western encroachment to justify his actions and no doubt some have swallowed it. That is a symptom of unchecked power though: controlling the narrative rather than being held to account in any meaningful way by the media or other organs of government.
Going from hegemony to no hegemony is plainly a decline, as is staying static or declining while others rise around you, which is what is continuing to happen.

Nothing political is random. The ‘sheep’ just prefer to view things from their herds perspective. It’s nice and comfortable to pigeonhole and compartmentalise issues to suit our views isn’t it. Majorities are often proven wrong and ‘democracies’ are exposed as less than that which they claim to be in the process.
How’s the whole vaccination / pandemic agenda looking from your democratic perspective at this point?
Personally I’m an advocate of true democracy, but I’m not gullible enough to believe that’s the reality we have.
Interestingly (to some) the US have up to 15 bio labs in Ukrain. Meaning they are ‘studying’ deadly pathogens at the Russian border.

Please tell us where you got the 'reliable' information from that the Yanks have all these bio-labs in Ukraine as well as the 'reliable' info that J Trudeau froze the bank accounts of their workers.

We haven’t been able to have any clarity on what might have a positive impact on our beloved Tigers in here in what seems like forever.
But somehow we have a crystal clear vision of what is going on half a world away by what we see on the heavily biased (both sides) media coverage, wherever it might be we choose to get that from.
Was it a Russian tank, a Ukrainian tank? Deliberate? Accident?
Don’t just believe what you’re told, it merely serves to keep the powers that be in power

While the Yankee one is about what we 'all'...well most of us want from our life. Tolerance, acceptance and a peaceful life generally. But eventually realising there may be a need to defend that way of life.
So where did this video comparison originate? and what genuine purpose does it have?
