It’s time… Or at least demote him to an assistant. Benji will always be a legend, but he is not ready to be a first grade coach. His appointment is the last hangover from the Pascoe and Hagiapantelis era… If he is fair dinkum, its time for Richo to make the call, we are meant to be a first grade NRL team, not a coach training facility…

I feel Benji would have to be under the microscope as far as next year goes. Give him the support he needs now to see how things turn out for the rest of the year.Time for Shane Richardson to sit down with Benji and have a serious discussion about what he needs and is expected of him. , taking this "part-time" approach to his job is just not the right tonic for a club like ours. Give me a coach that models hard work anyday. Successful clubs are not run by coaches with a part-time approach.

I don't think the coach is the problem.
He’s either part of the problem or part of the solution, and at present imo he’s in the middle. Roster stinks but a really good coach can partially overcome that, by maximising other aspects of the clubs performance.
Let’s remember Saints and ourselves basically started the season on equal footing. Good clubs gone bad, some player discontent and fractured rosters. I think you can easily see which club has moved forward and which hasn’t.
I’m just wondering how Luai feels now watching us play( apart from the $). He won’t need to be good, he’ll need to be a miracle worker with the cattle he’s got around him.

Benji aint the issue we have some of the worst NRL players in the history of the game
The union winger, staines, sullivan, naden, seyfarth, etc. Youth is the only thing along with the signings of next year to save the club.
The Titans, Dolphins and Warriors at times this year have rolled out teams with similar experience, none of those teams are getting beaten like we did last night.

The club has made a forward move this year but what is needed is more experienced coaching staff to surround Benji so that he can grow as a coach. John Morris is a great assistant but the rest of the current staff need to go .

We need a specialized skills and development coach employed through the grades, strength co-Ordinator needs to be hired , sprint coach.

It’s hard to understand how people think sackings and recruitment will fix our problem?
We sacked the board, we sacked Sheensy, Pascoe and moved Sawiki to Dragons.
We’re in the process of sacking players.
We got rid of Nofa and Brooks.
We’ve signed some pretty decent players and sacked them.
When we’re busy looking for someone to blame for our lack of improvement we’re tempted to think that contracting a few good players will somehow miraculously transform the club?
It doesn't work that way.
Penrith have a NRL club record of 8 consecutive finals wins.
While we have been busy losing our last 9 games.

He’s inherited a crap team. In that time, he has promoted and given experience to a number of juniors. He has signed the NSW 5/8 and the form winger in the comp. We’re still on the market for next year.

I’m not saying he’s a good coach, I’m saying give him time.
