Sack Marshall

No one could improve these losers. Sad reality is they are not NRL players bar Bula and Api, firing Benji will just make us even more of a joke.
Not a good look when at least 3 players in the same season have agitated for a release. Whether the fact the first time it’s happened is in a season where we have a rookie coach who served no apprenticeship, who knows. Maybe just a coincidence 🤷🏻‍♂️

Says more about these bludgers who can't handle the rough times at present. Hopefully all of them piss off and go cry somewhere else.

It doesn't look good for Benji as a coach. Funny thing is after 3 rounds he apparently could coach having won 2 from 3. Then something happened, players started to get suspended, injuries started to bite and Wests Tigers were exposed for the total lack of depth in the club, especially reserve grade.
Is there anyone who really thinks when the injuries came the team coming last in the reserve grade was going to be able to supply 1st grade ready replacements?
In all honesty, the result against the Dragons was not a surprise at all given the team that was named. A quick look at the thread with the official team for that game has lots of comments like "good cup side, when do they name the first grade". The scoreline itself was most disappointing.

I think Richo has said many times he doesn't know if Benji is going to be a good coach or not, but he will get him the players and we will find out. Until or even if that happens, we will never really know.

Benji has been here 18 months now ..having a lot of input into the makeup of this squad ..

Yes ..that is not a long time … it takes a couple of years to turn around a team … but it was a surprise to me how inactive on the new player market they have been over the past 18 months … the squad is not improving overall even with the addition of Luia and Turuva … this will be countered by the loss of Ice and Stef in my view … I don’t have a lot of confidence that the team will be any better than last next year unless something happens and they have more signings lined up …

I have never seen a sporting team in any code that perseveres to long with a coach that can’t win games and is the worst in the competition…rightly or wrongly the coach is always the first to go, and I have no doubt Richo will swing the axe if results don’t improve …

We're on the cusp of something...
But we've been on the cusp of something for ages now.

Turuva and Luai coming is huge.
Stef and Galvin potentially leaving, not so good.

We need to continue recruiting and hope the development plays out.

Luke Lualili and Makasini could be exactly what we need to improve our backline but we need to manage them right...

Just remember that they say that hope isn’t a plan…

You gotta actually do something to change something

I remember seeing an interview with Madge very early days and there was mention of this and the need for captain material within not only the squad but juniors aswell
Since JT was coach, and regardless of whatever else was playing out, the club seemed to have a negative focus on those who showed some leadership. Almost to the point that it became ingrained to our cultural identity.
I remember the all out push to correct the situation when we had 5 reluctant captains.
Lee raised the question of leadership at a captains fine dining/wining night. I think he asked..what is leadership? How can you identify it? As he gave examples he had seen in his law firm, as he moved up the ladder to become a senior partner.
It appeared to me at the time the club was in turmoil, and political oneupmanship was the name of the game, with the weapon of choice leaks to media.
Brooks got caught in the cross fire when he had to publicly explain that he wasn’t dropped.
It shouldn’t surprise anyone that players want out. They want to advance their careers and play good footy.

I agree with Benji going on holidays and playing golf... I agree with Zoe, but has Zoe spared a thought for us in correlation with her husbands role? I dare she has. She's just sticking up for her husband. Innocent your honor. Afterall the game is built around the fan. Thats why the Romans made a spectacle of it.
After the team has run out onto the field, release the lions.

Great spectacle. 🤣

Far out is obvious to me…the problem….its the cattle! Instead of bulls, we have donkeys! Not an even playing field. Have no chance. But hey they are nice and friendly donkeys! Maybe we can arrange free rides for kids?
Members day today, would have been a hit with the kids.

I can also see why benji is pushing the family first agenda. Enjoy your time with the family and “turn up to play “
Me personally I’d be in the work hard play hard and drink hard camp

Totally agreed.

Can we just accept that Spouse's will often defend their partners.
Heck Axe murderers have spouses that say they are a "great father". Benji just took a holiday and is ruining the Tigers season. Zoe Marshall you are fine.

It's the board who should be taking note.
Lol

When you’re wife comes out in the media it’s such a bad look

What do you think players, player managers think when you’re wife comes out and says “it’s bananas that Benji can’t be joyful”?

It’s the start of the end.

Imagine Wayne or Bellamy’s wife coming out lol.

We suck so bad - rookie coach , rookie PR.

She should say nothing! So that no one can poke holes at him further.

He may as well leave the club now and save us from the embarrassment

Nothing wrong with bringing Sheens back for his original role, the dumb thing was changing his role and getting him back into coaching, that's when things went really bad.

not sure bringing him back for any role was a good idea …

He had no success anywhere else after he left the first time …

he also instigated court action against the club the first time he was sacked …. Have you ever known another time when a person was subsequently employed again later on In any other job by the same organisation they sued?
