Sack Noddy

Pascoes goals are different ours are winning games his goals
Shirt sales ,COE coffee shop franchises , nice offices and balance the books
He's coated in Teflon

He should be sacked for the last game. What a d=÷€head .he gives the bloke we all were looking forward to seeing 3 minutes .He should have replaced that clown Pauga.Have you ever seen anything as stupid as what he did grrrrrrr
Totally agree. Why pick the kid to play 3 minutes and then puts him on when the game is in the balance.

Ben Gardiner was dudded, he’ll pop up at another club in the future and get the accolades he deserves.
I think the real culprit yesterday is Gavin Badger … Noddy says “we need to know the rules” - we’ll, we’ve got an in-house first grade ref on the payroll - what is Badger delivering if we don’t know the rules???
I can blame the coaches for a lot of the mess this club is in but i can't blame them for assuming an NRL first grade player doesn't know a rule that you learn in under 10s. Next thing we will want the coach running alongside them to tell them what they have to do when they get tackled like they do in under 6s.

I bet that all Kimmorley bashers were 100% for Maguire??
For the person that "stood behind all useless players selected" Maguire and who had 3 years to rebuild the team, and finally reward us the spoon?? 😢

Noddy has been thrown into a role that was always way beyond him. The day Maguire was replaced with him i wrote that this will ruin him as an NRL potential coach and they will not win another game this season resulting in the spoon.
Well i was partly wrong - they haven’t lost every game, they’ve won 2, if you count the cows game, the rest unfortunately was right.
Just on another point, I can’t understand giving a debutante the chance to play with all the hype and excitement that surrounds the player, and then crushing the guy and his dream by putting him on with 4 minutes to go. I hope he gets another chance next week.

I firmly believe if maguire was still there we wouldn’t have got the spoon. Sacking him mid season made things worse in the short term in the hope, and I am emphasizing the word hope, that it resets things for the long term.

Can I ask. So we have been crap for over 10 years now. Players have come and gone. Coaches have come and gone. What’s been the constant that’s stayed at the club? The board? Senior management?

I don’t know much else other than players and coaches

The board have changed a lot. Senior management have also changed.

Noddy appears to be a dud coach but who knows. Maybe he'll learn from this experience.

Id say more the people who were bagging Maguire for not being able to coach are now accepting the weaknesses in the squad and are now deflecting the blame that way.
No coach is soley responsible for assembling a squad in a club, and WTs as a club is already a barrier to signing quality players, who ever the coach is - history shows that.
Gould in 12 months has got the Bulldogs on the front foot in terms of roster and securing the coach most hyped who politely was not interested in taking on the role at WTs- and for good reason we have consistently set our coaches up to fail..

They should do a run around at the Orange Grove at lunchtime and pick someone at random to coach for the day. If he/she has had 10 schooners already then all the better.

Why do people hold up canterbury as an example - they have had 5 coaches in 5 years if you count the interim coaches they fob off after half a season. They have finished no higher than 11th in the last 6 seasons. They get pretty much flogged every week with an infinitely better roster than we have. They attempt to buy every player that comes on the market but have yet to have their two marquees for next year registered by the NRL because of salary cap problems. Their coach next year definitely has the hype as you say but we will have to wait and see whether he can live up to the hype. They are exempt from being bagged in the media because all the NRL hack journos are too scared to say anything bad because of Gus.

We can't recruit and we can't retain coaches or players - even with all the crap that has happened at the Bulldogs club in recent times - it hasn't effected their ability to recruit. The same can't be said for WTs which directly effects any coaches chance of being successful.

For next year their 2 marquee signings are Kikau and Mahoney ( both of whom aren't registered). Surprisingly our two marquee recruits play in the same positions and are registerd by the NRL. I know which 2 signings i would rather have.

1/2 an ounce of luck and a bit of competence and Noddy would have been 4 from 8, best we have done in ages. And with cattle we bag every day as not being good enough and despite a management that makes decisions on what is best for the NRL not the club.
With next years supposed roster, he'd win the comp.

Api and IP are the two best signings on paper WTs has made in as long as I can remember (under the previous coach) but it didn't help us secure the coach we threw everything at to take us on, or any other coach for that matter. That's a problem.

Interestingly, by the time of the post game presser, neither the coach or the captain of our team have spoken to Junior Pauga about his mistake.
Is this now a development club?
It doesn’t look like it to me.
This is at the heart of our cultural mediocrity.

Well said.

If I were Noddy, I'd quit, and force Sheens to take the helm this week.

Absolutely gutless effort on his part to take no ownership this year.
Lots of work to do before next year. Recruitment, pathways, assistant coaches, physios, attack and defence coaches, corporate donors, etc, etc. Less bagging and lots of enthusiasm for our team is required. Sheens is one of the best coaches ever. Give him and his staff a chance.

3 years to rebuild with a cap limited by cleary’s overpriced/ underperforming duds. 1/3 of the capped tied up in the duds. Do your best Madge to restructure the squad with what’s left of the cap. How many times does this have to be stated
