Sack Sheens Thread

Several posts in this thread have recently been deleted. I would like to remind everyone to show a bit of respect toward one another and not let this thread degenerate into a personal argument.

If anyone saw the sheds at half time, sheens was fuming. I can only imagine what he was like after the game.

I can't imagine they did what they were coached to do last night. If anyone thinks he asked them to show no commitment and to play like asses, then yes sheens should go.

I'm disgusted with the performance against the knights, but the **blame goes on the players for this one.**

that's my point.. if one or two individuals didn't perform, you can blame them, but when the entire team fails to turn up at the same time of the season, EVERY YEAR, then you have to point at the coach.

Yeah you have to sack him for being loyal to players he has brought through the system

The players have to take responsibilty for this one

If you can't show up to play when one of your BROTHERS (remember they were brothers for life after 2005) Mums passes away that has in some cases ,fed you, given you a roof over your head etc and dish up that crap is unacceptable

Sheens should be responsible for some of our loses , but not this one he should not have had to say a word in the dressing room

Maybe Sheens is guilty for being loyal , but look at the reaction from Forum members when he does attempt a clean out

Damned if he does ,Damned if he doesn't

I can always forgive what happened against the Roosters given the cirumstances, but Monday night it was time to get the minds back on the job and they failed miserably. Now would be the time to give 2 or 3 players the big size 12 for that debacle, but will that ever happen? not on your life. I tend to think if the players knew they weren't untouchable, especially the ones in the kliq, then they would play with a lot more desperation. Theres no way you can't say after the other night that at least 2 or 3 don't deserve to be dropped

i agree with GRN4LIFE at least 2 players should be droped , we won some good games when missing players , then we bring in players , move the team around and then we start going bad

Well presumably Sironen and Ellis may be available for selection by then. In any case with the bye there is a big chance to get things right for the Dogs game. I'm thinking that will be a better guide to how the rest of the season will go. As it is we enter July inside the top 8.

Maybe we are just not good enough? On skill we should be good enough, it's attitude where we lack.
Anyway, as i have said before, lets judge the team on the results when the season is finished, whether that be regular season or season completion…..time will tell.

i've never used the word "Sack"
have you ever seen a TEAM get affected by off field events like us?
matt scott's mother passed away on wednesday, cowboys played 2 days after and killed the raiders. matt scott is the cowboys captain.

again, as i said… THIS HAPPENS EVERY YEAR !! EVERY SINGLE YEAR. why do we have to go in a slump like this every year? i dont expect us to win every game, i expect us to give 100% every game.
oh and loyal to your players? gimme a break, he hasn't dropped a single person in the last 100 years, regardless of their performances. i dont like to speculate as to what goes on off the field, but as someone said, the players are not listening to sheens.. well then, it's either he is not saying anything to them about their performance or he has lost respect of the playing group.

im starting to think i/we here overestimate the tigers too much tbh….

I won't disagree with that, there certainly are a lot of one-eyed supporters on here, but we are/should be at the very least a top 8 side.

Whats hurt us most this year is most of our so called guns have been patchy at best. We need them to fire and lead the way to be any chance

we have one player that does all the dirty work getting of the line in thier face then picking of blokes who get through the line fulton he has missed the last 2 games .what do others think am i over stating hes importants.

fulton is always their when half breaks are made through the MIDDLE.
against the knights though, they were carving us up in the middle and streamrolling past our forwards, then taking the advantage on our line with their set plays. i agree, fulton would've made a difference, but the attitude in defense is something which was non existant.

as for getting in their faces. bryce gibbs used to do that, and this year, benji and our centres are shutting down the playmakers by getting out of the line.

No, your not overstating his importance. I think if everyone went through player by player this year and gave them a score out of ten on their season so far, there would be a couple at best that would be 8's and 9's. Off the top of my head, Woods, Ryan , Fulton and Farah would have claims to 8 or above. Outside of that it's a downhill trend.

Last time I checked we were a top 8 side … just

Yeah i would like to see a change in coach.

It is not possible for sheens, nor any coach,to continue to give his players a fresh message. In any management structure, you need fresh motivating ideas.

Perhaps Sheens has squeezed the orange dry.

Warren Ryan recognised it,will sheens?

Having said that, many posters on this forum,as well as myself, saw Steve Kearney as a possible coach in waiting .

of course, his results have been disappointing.

So is it the devil you know,or the one you don't know.

its a tough one.
