Sam Burgess sick of talking about Robbie Farah and the Tigers ahead of season opener
>
SAM Burgess knows the banner headlines Robbie Farah will attract this week.
>
It’s fair to say though that the English giant though is becoming tired of constantly discussing Farah.
>
It’s nothing personal.
>
Burgess just wants other players in his South Sydney side recognised before Friday night’s big game against Farah’s former team the Wests Tigers.
>
“I feel like every press conference we are always talking about Robbie. It is a big week but Robbie’s not the only player in the team — (I’m trying to) get the gist of that to everyone,” Burgess said..............................

@ said:@ said:**Farah has taken over at Souths and upset his new teammates, and a ball hasn't even been kicked yet.**
Got nothing against Robbie but it seems he brings a curse wherever he goes.
The more we don't want to talk about Robbie the more we say that we don't want to talk about Robbie, which means we're talking about being sick of talking about Robbie which means we're talking about Robbie.
Seeing as the rest of what Burgess said in that article was conveniently omitted in the OP here is what he followed up with….
**“Robbie has been great at this club and I’m sure he will continue to be great over the season.”**
Farah, who is vying with Damien Cook for the hooking role, facing the Tigers in round one is a dream match for the NRL given his fallout with former coach Jason Taylor.
**But Burgess was quick to point out Farah isn’t the same person as he is sometimes portrayed.**
**“If you have never met Robbie, and never heard a thing about him, and you saw the way he goes about himself down in our changing rooms with our team, you’d find it hard to believe what’s been said and written about him,” Burgess said**
“I think all that (Tigers drama) is behind Robbie. There is always politics at clubs — he had been there for so many years. You know how the game works sometimes.
**“I judge people on how they are in our system, our structure, our culture and Robbie has been fantastic.** Obviously with what went on last year, it was quite an emotionally draining year for him. But, like I said, that is behind him now and he is ready to roll again.
**“Robbie is one of the most professional blokes I have come across.** He will deal with it just fine. He is very competitive and I think all his old teammates will know that.”
@ said:Im not the one going around making threads about Robbie mate….
You might be over him one day LOL.
@ said:@ said:@ said:@ said:Sounds like the Farah haters miss him more than us lol. Its funny the same 2 or 3 regular forum members just cant let go. Just for the slow ones, Burgess is not tired of Farah fhe person, but of the media constantly talking about Farah vs tigers. But heck what would we know when a few on here know him personally and have been involved inside fhe club to know whats supposedly happened for the last 10 years lol.
:deadhorse:
I think you're a little confused.
You refer to people as Farah haters but have you considered they are just West Tigers lovers who put the team above one individual?
Much to a majorities relief we have moved on except for the fringe element like yourself who twist the original story to fit your agenda.
What Jersey will you be wearing come Friday night?
What story am i twisting lol. If they have moved on why do they keep bringing him up. Very ironic as Eddie said.
Will be at the game in my 2017 tigers jersey with my 2017 tigers membership and will be there cheering the tigers to win, not an ex tiger player who some on here seem to have a crush on lol lol lol.
If we can leave the 10 year old girl hehe routine aside for just a minute and discuss the point like adults i will respond to this.
People are indeed over him, but that doesn't mean when a new talking point such as this comes up that people won't discuss it. We're not going over old ground, it's a new story. And to a lot of people who wanted him gone, this story is somewhat validation of that.

Oh dear, very sneaky , very very sneaky. Sammy tell insanepink what you really think about Robbie, not what he wants to believe.
"If you have ever met Robbis, and you never heard a thing about him, and you saw the way he goes about him, and you saw the way he goes about himself down in our changing rooms with our team, youd find it hard to believe whats been said and written about him.
"I judge people on how they are in our system , our structur, our culture and Robbie has been fantastic"
Don't let the truth get in the way in your fabulous thread lol lol lol
@ said:Yep. Very selective quoting by certain individuals to help vindicate their opinions.
The point of the article was that Sam was sick of being asked about about Robbie v WT. He is a South Sydney man now and so the conversation should be Souths v WT. He never once said that he was sick of Robbie in general.
His appraisal of Farah as a player, teammate, leader and person was actually quite glowing but we'll leave that bit out so we can push our pathetic agendas eh boys?
Some really really stupid interpretations of that interview being posted in this thread LOL…..

The selective quoting happens on both sides. Anything to do with Farah or JT just brings out the worst in people on this forum. It's beyond boring…

GNR and the rest of The Farah Hanging Party can't be found at the moment, they're off somewhere combing through newspapers to try and find another Farah article that they can misrepresent to suit their hatred of one of the few recent players that can be said to have given a100% effort to this team every time he played.
theres players in this club that deserve a lot more criticism than RF, Both on and off the field
Anyway Robbie, have a blinder, hope we win though.
@ said:A funny comment from Woodsy in the telegraph today.
Says he hopes Tigers fans will treat Farah well tonight.
I would think that JTs Reception will be more interesting than Robbies, after all it was him that the crowd turned on last year.
I'd say that their opinion hasnt changed.
@ said:Probably the most misleading thread i have seen. A true reflection of the guy who created this thread.
