Samuela Fainu #280

I am in awe of this guy. What a weapon. I am excited every time he touches the ball. Him and Galvin have a great combination. You can tell that Lachie loves feeding him the ball. He always seems to be there running a hard line.
He just gives it to him early too. I hate halves who make the back rower catch in traffic.

The guy is a weapon on the edge been one of the bright lights in a dull season, I’m pretty sure when we first signed him it was as a middle. He’s locked down an edge and could also be damaging in the middle, I like how we’re playing him now though.

My favourite player this season.

He has all the attributes to be an elite Second Rower.

As many said its the 1% he does that separates him from good players. He needs a mate in the second row for 2025.

Sign him up long term with his brothers.
I think Tupinoua should be chased from the Roosters for his backrow pair. Tupinoua plays alot like Samuela runs great lines and has that dog and bone, fight for every inch mentality. After a season recovering from his ACL injury he could be a really good pick up.
Not sure why the Dogs need him with Kikau, Preston, Saelmon and Katoga on their books.

Hats off to Samuela for his development this year.
Came to us as a potential bench prop, has cemented his spot on the left side and played a heap of minutes at centre to cover our inordinate number of sin bins. And done so without a single compliant.
Think the main reason for him looking a touch off last week was Galvin being moved to the right, you could tell their timing was off.
Keen to see both of them develop together next year.

As good as he is out wide, I wonder if the front row is where he might really excel. If the club could secure some impact back rowers, Samuela at prop gives the right attitude, ability, athletisism...he could be very dynamic.

He came here to play prop.

He’s the perfect modern day back rower he has everything to excel in the position if leave him there.

His efforts in that last five minutes were next level
And Benji said he wanted to play middle.
