An attempt to sign Shulster...

Look I am glad he brought the Fainu's over. Other then that it seems Fulton wasn't wanted at Manly for attitude problems. In signing the Fainu's, our culture got boosted. But he seemed to derail almost everything else.

If Bula does leave at the end of next year what are our fullback options, disregarding Mason. I don't watch much lower grade stuff so can't really comment of who is coming through.

Good call by Benji to stop the big money offer for Schuster
Yeah, that call by Fulton to sign Schuster really stank and probably set off the alarm bells at the club that he was a complete moron, trying to sign any of his contacts that moved.

Glad the door smacked his arse on the way out and don't think he's landed another recruitment position since.

From what I understood was that Fulton made an arse of himself to Sheens, Benji, etc.

Ofcourse Sheens wanted his own people and this may have been a powerplay by Sheens to keep outside opinion outside.

I guess Fulton's job was recruitment and if he gets a player making offers it is to forward those offers. As long as it's down to the head coach then it's on them. i.e. "I have an offer for Shulster/Mbye/whomever, do we take them."

I was in favour of bringing Fulton in as Sheens needed a kick. Yet when he was here he seemed to act like a showpony. Fulton really seemed to have an attitude problem. I agreed with Pascoe/Lee bringing him in and I agreed with them recognising that this was a mistake.. TLDR: doesn't bloody matter as this is all history now.

Fulton could have been good at his job, but we will never know because of the way he was clandestinely introduced to Tigers and later to other key people in the organisation. For a while there we had two recruitment guys plus a handful of others involved in doing the same job, members of both boards and a CEO.
The club was (and probably still is) split into two with each group secretly going about their business like CIA agents. lol 😂
Benji and Sheens had to hold a secret meeting with Luai at Benji castle.

2023 was literal hell. without doubt the worst year of our existence. board split, Pascoe and Lee, Fulton, Sheens and McDonnell, ANZAC Jerseygate, four wins all year playing the worst attacking footy you've ever seen, list goes on and on and on.

in some ways though it was the year we needed to finally stop the rot. it's almost like a brand new club from the top down.

We needed to find the rock bottom and there were several willing to look for it in a hurry. Some are still there. 😒

2022 after Madge got canned halfway through…it was the pits ..Kimmorley as interim coach for like 3 months and the team just getting flogged every week …i was referring at the time to the Wests Tigers as a zombie club..

2023 came and it wasn’t much better ..same number of season wins …maximum disfunction with Lee H in full flight leaking everything and always in the media spotlight….and Pascoe still stumbling and bumbling along after 8 years …the Fulton appointment without referral to Sheens and Marshall was just laughable and probably the final straw … the decision to get rid of the board and appointment of Richo was the best day in 15 years of following this team…I suspect behind the scenes that the NRL gave HBG an offer they couldn’t refuse …

it felt like the day we finally got our club back. the petition certainly applied pressure externally but I also wonder if the NRL was also pushing. regardless we can be thankful we're out of there.

No ,more so for the underhanded way he was brought into the club and the push back that came from his appointment,
The club has moved in leaps n bounds from those days
