Seems a bit of a stretch to suggest all his players will sit in limbo while he serves a suspension

I don't know about others, but I do believe the Fainu family is very close to their manager, so I wouldn't be surprised if that is the reason for the hold up.

It could be due to the size of the deal.. aka 100-200k commission for mario..

In saying that, I saw highlight of Mario's birthday on insta - he isnt short a quid.. probably put the event through the business as a tax write off

Not sure which other players are directly managed by him but I assume in most cases any new deals that needed to have been done would have been negotiated by other agents within his firm. But I know Mario Tartak is a close family friend with the Fainu family so wouldn't surprise me if they wanted to wait until he could directly be the one negotiating the contract.

I have no sources or confirmed info that im correct in that being the reason for the delay. Is just an assumption on why it may be

sam is a good player hope we dont lose him however the club should not be held to ransom over what we need to sign Latu for, he is made of glass and at present I would be disappointed if he received an increase.

It is interesting that you mention that and that Tartak is due back from suspension around December because I can't help but cast my mind back to something that Adel Hage said on one of the pod casts a few weeks back.

He said that Manase would be at the club at the end of the year or for next season in some capacity, and that particular timeline seems to fit in with that prediction.

I know some people will think the idea is absurd and I'm definitely not saying that it will happen but it's just something that has been stuck in my mind since it was said, anyway, I guess time will tell.

Sam is a great player but we need to not be held ransom by him and his brothers. This is the issue when a few hold a lot of power over certain decisions. If KPP is on $6-700k and Hudson Young offered $1.1 then I would not go over $800k for Sam. KPP I reckon can be better.
Tallis Duncan off contract and hasn’t resigned - I’d love us to have a crack at him. Absolute gun.

I remember hearing that we are actively trying to sign Manase in so far as our CEO is trying to get the NRL/NSWRL to agree to signing him to a Cup contract. It was on a pod.
Cynical me thinks as we are probably the only club doing this, Sam and Latu won't sign anywhere else until Manase is signed here.
