Scott Prince 2012

Latest rumour fresh out of Brisbane is that the Bronco's will take on Scott Prince if he is willing to play 5/8 on smaller money.

They are trying to do the sums as we speak.

Prince wants his $500K a year that the Gold Coast promised him but have not delivered.

I wouldn't be suprised if the Titans just let him go seeing as though they are looking at Carney as well as having been rumoured to not be happy with Prince.

$500k?! Wow.

I'm sure the Broncos could sort something out with third party deals. I haven't been to a game in Brisbane for a few years, but when I was up there last time Broncos players were on TV ads for everything. It was such a difference to Sydney where NRL players are barely used in advertising. Maybe something can be struck up to minimise cap space.

Bug thats a bit different from what has been told up here
The stories that have been run by the press is that Wallace wants first shot at the 6 jersey
That's why if Prince was going to go anywhere I thought Broncos would be the first option

As long as he's not coming back here, I'm happy. I don' tthink he's lived up to his potential since he left and I quite like the idea of moving forward with Miller at 7 as opposed to going back to Prince who was great in '05, meh in '06 and 5 years older now.

I for one would be disappointed if he came back here. I think he's getting a nice dose oh Karma for the tasteless way he left here. The way he was parading around Sydney with Searl and Cartwright during their negotiations after everything this club had done for him and his family still leaves a foul taste in my mouth.

Not to mention his on-field performances. :arrow_right:

Prince is a loser.
He hasn't got much left in him either.
Was terrible this year and will be forgettable for the rest of his career.

Expect him to retire,
then come back,
still suck and retire again.

Maybe Scott Prince has come to realise that he is now in career twilight, and is having trouble coping with it.
.
If he truly had a point to prove, he would not be concerned with how much money he was going to get paid, and play very well each week that he would win the Dally M medal.

Guys, how quickly you forget. Sure, he was terrible this year, but he also did win the halfback of the year in 2010…. pretty sure that isn't that long ago?

I can understand him wanting his $500k. He probably had a back-loaded contract with the Titans and just wants what he is owed. It's hardly being all about the money.

I hope we get him here. Not on $500k, but maybe $250k with the Titans paying half. How good would it be for Miller to have Princy here to guide him before his step into 1st grade.

This, plus practically the whole Titans side was crap.

Yeah I wouldn't mind seeing that as well.

Is it possible that Prince wants out of the Titans as they have failed to deliver on their promises to him and are in financial strife?

I think Prince still has 2 or 3 years to run on his contract @ $ 500,000 per season, If i was on that money i would want the money to. The Titans were the ones who signed him to it so bad luck to them, it was like us with Terry Hill what a great signing that was.

If he's that worried about the money you'd think he'll shoot off to Super League

His missus hated being in Sydney, how do you reckon she'll go on the other side of the planet?

Bang on Suze. Between you and Chris you've both hit the nail on the head.

He's in his twilight now, I don't believe we will see him in the form he was in 2010 again. Let the Bronco's have him. If we were desperate enough to take him on, anymore than $100K a season is a waste. The Titans would definitely want to be footing the majority of the bill if he ever came back.
