So O'Neill and Pascoe don't deserve any criticism for allowing this to happen. If its true, it's obvious they've had to rubber stamp it.

How is it obvious?
No one knows for sure they rubber stamp the team selections - that's hearsay and rumour.
Taylor is the coach - he makes the selections.
If for some reason O'Neil or Pascoe do have some say they need to be sitting with Taylor when he explains how he sold us down the river with another idiotic selection blunder.
I can't see one good reason this could be good for the club right now - just when things were starting to look up.
