@ said:Bloody Edwards dropping that ball changed our game, right on halftime after defending so good, a real bad mistake

Good point… Pretty sure the bunnies scored the last few in that game as well. We seem unfit.

Was when an experienced head needed to step it up , tell some one to stay down where the play the ball was going to be and move the ruck infield 5 metres
We needed to defuse Melbourne and any hopes of a comeback right then and there
Yet again , brain dead stuff , NYC players are more clued in than our senior players
No match sense , all airheads , there isn't a shot clock , they stop the clock so what , get your composure back and play smart
Secondly the last bloke you want taking a hit up in that situation is an Edwards type , you want someone who will look for a hole and drop the second he hits the line , footwork at the line beats power very often in those situations

I didn't think there was anything wrong with the set up of that play. Edwards took the ball, had good low body height but got an absolute bell ringer by the third tackler. He was unlucky. We could run that exact play a dozen times and be OK. It just seems when things are running against you everything that can go wrong usually does.
Anyhow - there's another game next week! Yippeeee!

I still think we should have earned a penalty … you don't get knocked unconscious without something hitting your head.
@ said:No way. Edwards ducked into that tackle. Stupid play. He should of hit the ground first or ran more upwards to a gap.
Running like that is how people get knocked out.

Not sure whether he was trying to duck forward or whether he was helped into that position but the third man came in with the arms by his sides. In the 2017 interpretation of the rule there must be some attempt to bind with the arms, you can't just run into someone.
Can't believe people are giving Edwards grief for getting knocked out. Yeah self preservation and all that, but you can't seriously blame a bloke for getting his weight down and trying to steal another metre, maybe get a quicker play the ball. I've been pretty critical of Edwards selection, but I won't fault him for having a go.
