Anyone think we are heading in the direction of being the Wests Maori Tigers?? Or if we do get relocated it mighten be west to Perth but east to Wellington?

Look at the Tigers membership and crowd numbers. You move teams when they're unsuccessful where they are. Not sure why you'd move a club that puts bums on seats. The lack of on field success is irrelevant.

Better to move the Sharks or the Sea Eagles. They're more successful clubs on field, but actually less popular.

It was a bit of tongue in cheek really but our recruitment at the moment is basically islanders. Our team next year could possibly outdo the warriors for islander participation. Am I right??

In case you haven't noticed over 50% of the Comp are Islanders and growing…with a few token Poms thrown in...

It's a blessing come origin time haha

Why a maori team?? we only have one maori atm. Next year we'll have three, they'd still be the minority.

Who cares how many we sign as long as we have a competitive team and they all want to put in.We tried to foster our own talent but unfortunately they have heads bigger than theIr salary package.Lets get behind Ivan and support what he's doing for the future of the club.LETS MAKE WESTS TIGERS GREAT AGAIN.

I remember in the darkest days of the lowest points of the Balmain Tigers (and the Sydney Tigers ..shudder..) I was a voting member of BDRLFC and every year at the AGM (pre interwebs) they would roll out the new signings for next year to try to give us some hope. I remember at one of these AGMS they announced Tyran Smith and I remember compared to everyone else he was huge. like a head bigger than everyone else and the only polynesian in the team. I remember at the time thinking that we need more polynesians in the team.

Turns out Tyran was rubbish and did nothing but I think the next year we bought Solomon Haumono and I was further convinced that this was the direction the club needed to go. Big Solo could have been anything IMO but the Tigers he was nothing unfortunately, his head wasnt in it.

These days Polynesians dominate the NRL, they are naturally big & fast which is 80% of the game these days. More the better IMO.
