Manly said in a statement the club was “disappointed” with the start to the season and would confirm the appointment of an interim head coach for the remainder of the year “shortly”.

Chairman Scott Penn and CEO Jason King will front the media on Saturday at 11am AEDT to address Seibold’s exit.

Seibold was just three games into a contract extension that was set to keep him at the helm until at least the end of next year.

Instead, the Sea Eagles have parted ways, effective immediately.

According to the Daily Telegraph, as part of his severance package, Seibold will be owed $300,000.

Knee jerk reaction imo

Interesting theyve done it now, they have three away games coming up...three weeks before their next brookie game v parra....timing is interesting

Couldnt happen to a more deserving club,.....well maybe Dogs or Souths
