Sending a message to the club

@steve-o said:
I've sent the club a message the last few years by not renewing my membership (last season I had it was 2012). I am not going to reward the club for mediocrity

That's the point I'm at now, I've been a member for 11 years but I'm thinking how long do I put my money into something that causes me so much frustration

You know what i have to agree with tigermac , there comes a point in time where you say to yourself enough is enough .
When they rang me up this year and asked me if i was going to renew ? i told them exactly what had to be said and let me tell you it wasn't good for the receiver .
I said to the guy you call me up the same time every year asking for money…..basically that's what your doing ( paying for Memberships ) , i told him people pay to get Entertained and if you feel like the Club isn't heading in that direction with the cheap budgeted signings we made ? why bother.
It's a massive commitment to give up your Family time every Weekend to see what ? a continued diabolical team selection with undeserved players continually picked every week.....Nah have better things to do the Beach is 5 minutes away.

When the Club gets there act together ? they have my money .

Just curious FT,

I know you said you didn't take up the membership renewal and that you have better things to do with your time than watch this mob, but was wondering if you do still attend any games.

No you don't accept mediocrity - you get behind your bloody team and support them through thick and thin and stop whinging.

Do you want to further divide the club?

Well guys I'm just as frustrated and angry as most on here, however,do you people really think petitions, rallies or signs will help the cause…I doubt it...Look closely at why we are where we are at..
Previous back ended contracts, very, very little finances and huge salary cap issues.Wests Tigers employed Taylor not on huge money and he recruited on a budget, are these the calibre of winning cultured teams,I dare say not.As I once said we are like a bush picnic racehorse expecting to win the Melbourne cup,it won't happen until we purchase a thoroughbred of quality and put him in the care of a quality trainer to give him the best chance of winning.Currently we have a team of overhyped overpaid players who demanded to be let off the leash and play what's in front of them, and note two of them had very little NRL experience to be demanding anything, one of these isnt performing anything like he needs to at this level of NRL.This now leaves us in the position of having to sit this out until Taylor has completed his tenure, otherwise further financial grief will be incurred he can only work with what he has got,and that ain't much in my books. Its no good demanding a T bone steak if you only can afford a cheese sandwich...

You might have money to throw away, but I work to hard for mine to keep pumping it into something that's run like a circus…. And that's a new one, being called a whinger for expressing an opinion on a forum.

We go through this every year, people wanting protests, people cutting up their memberships and people planning rallies. We employ new coaches and sign new players, but every year it is the same, although this year it happened a lot quicker than normal. The bottom line we need a massive overhaul yet again, we need a coach that the players will not ride ruff shot over and we need to buy real quality NRL standard players and stop shopping in the reject basket and hopping for miracles. I have written this same post for three years now but nothing ever seems to change.

I get the feeling that Pascoe and the board no what the problems are but are finding it really hard to find a solution

As per your question jc…...I live on the Gold Coast and still attend 3 to 4 games per year alot more than hobbo does and he lives in Sydney  , his not the President of the Bandwagoners for no reason

When i mean't giving up Family time that's exactly what you do when you commit to a Season Ticket and that's what i was going to get , even if i can only get to 6-8 games + with flights it's alot of money to commit when you don't believe the direction the Club is going.......that's what i was meaning .
It's terrible having a Season Ticket and by mid year your down the bottom of the Ladder and you have to go to the games cause your committed for the year .

Where is TigerTorch? He/she seemed to have a fairly good understanding of the fans' comments and concerns, which means someone at the club MUST be reading this forum.

In fact it would be bad business policy not to monitor these forums, because it's a free line into the mood of a group of core and tech/media savvy fans.

So perhaps we open a thread titled "Messages from fans to the club, please read" and let people vent over there, in hope that the club takes some kind of notice.
