Whats your favorite snack or dish to have on a Footy night, whilst watching the game?
For me, Friday night footy and a good feed is one of my favorite parts of the week that I look forward to.

So what do you cook up or throw together or order for a night in front of the TV watching some footy.

Last Friday for the Rabbitohs game, I had a bit of a cheat day and ordered Dominos. I don't do this often but was feeling in the mood for some sloppy pizza.
One pizza doesn't usually satisfy me, despite being 2000 calories - so I ordered some sides to even it out to $20 odd dollars so it could be delivered because I didn't feel like going back out after a long day & hectic gym session.

So I ordered a garlic bread, 5 pack of chicken kickers and the pizza I've been getting for the last 4 years. ( I eat Domino's maybe 3 or 4 times a year, because I'm not the biggest Pizza fan )

Anyways the pizza is a designer on edge crust with satay sauce, use to be BBQ till they started doing satay… 2 x beef, seasoned chicken, pepperoni, chili flakes, oregano and onion.

Was smaller than usual, they're usually small but this one seemed extra small.

Anyways, the week before that - I made some delicious guacamole and then made my high protein nacho dish I make occasionally, when I'm craving nachos. I'm a big mexican food fan.

So the nachos were good, probably high in sodium - but with the right hydration that is no problem. The guacamole was the highlight of the dish.

I won't crave nachos for another 6 months after that dish, so filling.

So anyways - whats your choice of dish?
Any recommendations for Friday's game?

Usually my fingermails watching the Tigers but seriously Pizzas are the go Not Dominos though Stuffed my order up 3 times gf night 2005 never again about 15 people waited almost 3 hours Ordered an hour before kick off and got them as Hannay missed the last shot at goal with a couple to go Brought wrong order 2 times unbelieveable

Usually pizza, although from time to time I will knock together some Mexican before a Friday night game and wash either down with half a dozen of Carlton's finest.

Happy Tiger - Yeah, Domino's is fail when it comes to satisfaction.
Used to work there back in my younger years & not the most hygienic product either lol.
However - I must say, Footy nights get pretty busy in there so your order being messed up is expected.

I'm keen to check out this place; Crust Pizza… when I'm craving Pizza next.
Looks good. http://new.crust.com.au/

Chilli & Basil squares are the shiznit.

I head to the local and have supreme pizza and a couple of schooners of carlon draught as well, then jump on the courtesy bus and gear up to watch the game, with a boxer of carlton draught, though an easy footy food is the old meat pie or hot dog with cheese and tomota sauce, simply done and not a bad feed for a friday night as well.

It's rly hard to find a good pie these days… Like Darby $1 pies are absolute trash.
Villi Pies are the go, I like curry pies and Villi's make em so good.

There is 2 really decent bakeries local to me that I don't mind every now and then, but as I said... really hard to find a decent pie and no pie stores open @ 7:30 hahaha.

Woolworths/Coles frozen pies aren't the best either.

I'm legit looking for some ideas for something decent to have this Friday, lol.

Protein shake whilst I'm pumping my guns and watching the game.

I try to eat first (particularly with the kids) and have only snacks and beer through the game.

on a side note, thank gawd for foxtel IQ though, gives me the option to pause the game when the kids need baths, etc….

That foxtel ad with the girl dancing for her dad where he pauses the AFL game to watch her is 100% on the mark..

demps - they sell some nice pies at the bakery at leumeah shopping centre, which is across the road from leumeah railway station. and i did what you did last friday night, i ordered pizza. it was 10 minutes late and they could have put some more toppings on it. bloody pizza hut! forgiveness is divine but never pay full price for late pizza! >:-(

Always enjoy my Hot Dogs with braised Onion, Tomato & Bacon, topped with Camembert Cheese or Mini Beef Burgers with Chunky Chips… Always a hit with the boys!!!

And a icy cold brew or 20...

Friday night is always PBF at our house - Pizza, Beer & Footy. We order from our local pizza shop - Pizzas Around, and we get a meat lovers, a super supreme, and an East Blaxland(chicken, pineapple n a BBQ base) , with a garlic pizza as well. Then sit back and watch the footy.

On a Friday night either the $8.00 pasta meal at the Vic Hotel or the $10.00 roast of the day at the Bathurst RSL, Saturdays sees me at home cooking for the misses, usually something simple like a BBQ.
If I get to a game on the Sunday then I try not to eat what's available as it's too f@#$ing dear and no good !.
