Server Migration Issues Thread

Thank you Kul, much appreciated. Here's hoping if it all goes offline for a little bit, that when it comes back we can put on it some good news worthy of the new flash bang host.

Server migration complete.

There may be some teething issues, please let me know here!

Yep. I checked early this morning to see how far into the 24 hour changeover you were, and, Voila, Wests Tigers Forum open for business. Great job Kul. Thanks.

Hey KUL
2 times today I’ve been bounced back to the information page and unable to access the site. Just me or is it a teething problem?

I'm accessing ok on Android but the desktop at home Firefox or IE I'm unable to get past the info page despite clearing cache & cookies

Open it on another page on your desktop.

Tried that… Tried re-booting, tried using a new link, new page... New browser.. Tried the "delete all board cookies" button on the information page... Logged out /logged in... Nothing

@ink what message do you see?

The migration is complete, however some of the global DNS registras take take to update themselves with the new server address.

Again, keep clearing your cache or give it a little time while the global directories update themselves.

Information

The forum is offline while it is moved to a new server. If you are still seeing this message after 9am on Friday 5 October, please clear your internet cache and refresh the page.

Will keep trying, lucky I got the phone too… Notices on LU someone's started a thread there a few have same issues as me

Ink,

Can you go the the Start Menu on your PC, then search for “Command Prompt”

It should open up a window that looks like the old DOS interface.

Type the following and hit enter:

“ping weststigersforum.com”

Let me know what IP address it returns

Btw, I was on free WiFi on the train just before and my phone went to the old site….

So clearly some Internet Service Providers are still yer to update themselves with the new server address
