Several Wests Tigers stars make rep sides

Several Wests Tigers stars have made representative sides for next weekend.

Keith Galloway, Robbie Farah, Simon Dwyer and Liam Fulton have been named for the City Origin side while Tim Moltzen and Chris Heighington were selected for Country Origin.

No Wests Tigers players were selected for the Australian side to take on unnamed New Zealand which is expected to at least feature Benji Marshall.

Wasn't expecting any to make the Aussie side for this game, hopefully the guys have good city/country games and get a look in for SOO then make their way into the Aussie side from there .

lol, in a way I wish City vs Country was live, I can't wait to see Farah stick it up Ennis. This guy (Ennis) is an impostor and it seems the tabloids are carrying out a campaign to keep him in the Blues side. What he did last year in game 3 was a disgrace, the only time NSW looked like winning a game and he throws the game away by cheap shotting Myles!

Robbie was terrible at SOO level and this year he has had a couple of good games but the same amount of poor ones.

So if it wasnt for injury and eligabilty dillema we woukd have had lawrence, gibbs and fifita also selected?

I thought that Ayshford would have made it but there are some good centers for NSW. Hopefully he gets his chance soon.

Just as long as we get no injuries out of this pointless game though, its the only worry

x2

don't want nuffies like the bunnies beating us after the bye - and they will be without asotasi and burgess.

Congrats to all the boys that made it into the rep teams. I hope it will be a confidence-boosting experience for them all, but especially for Moltzen & Dwyer.

Galloway can count himself unlucky not to make the Australian bench given he's outplayed Shillington twice this season now.

Agreed, Willow, especially given the Australian coach has witnessed both of these games

Agreed Galloway deserves a bench spot for Australia.

Congratulations to all WT players picked. Come back with no injuries.

I remember in 2005 Sheens talked about the improvement rep footy made for the players involved. Don't write any of the selections off as opportunities for injury, but opportunity for developing expertise. All of a sudden these players are being asked to step up into teams where they have to work with "strangers". O.K. - city/country is not the be all and end all, but if the players get out injury free then it can only be good for them.
And gees I hope Moltzen comes out like he was performing like we know he can (just take care of the matchstick legs!)

Great to see so many Wests Tigers players make the city country teams. Moltzen has been mentioned as a surprise selection however it is good to see him get a break now he needs to make the most of it, I've heard Daley talk him up a few times. Sauce has been playing well and continued this today would have been good to see him on the bench for Australia maybe he'll get a chance at SOO.
