Shane Richardson

Regardless if we really wanted to keep Galvinnor not, he totally stuffed up that negotiation and lost an elite talent in Onitoni Large prior to it happening.
He made it very difficult for us to sign Taylan Nay and we nearly missed out on him because of it.
He then signed Starford To’a to a an extended deal even though blind Freddy could see he was clearly playing injured.
He makes mistakes just like everyone else, he was far from perfect in the recruitment and retention space.
You didn’t answer my question.
Large’s dad had a falling out with the coaching staff not Richo and left.
We got Andrews who is ahead of OL in terms of development atm anyway.
Taylan had an interview when he wasn’t well. Richo told him go to get help and he went into rehab. That’s just plain wrong what you’ve said.
Starford was extended in August pre-injury.

Richo himself openly stated that the reason Onitoni Large departed was because he wanted a get out clause if Galvin’s-signed with us.
Richo refused to allow the get out clause than 2 months later the Galvin sage blew up and he also departed.
If Onitoni Large was still at the club he would currently be the front runner to be our NRL fullback if Bula decides to leave.
It was a no brainer that we had no strike power in the centres and Taylan was always going to be a player we needed.
Starford was showing signs of playing very ordinarily and injured long before August.
Richo should have stuck to the finance area and let the experts handle recruitment and retention.

Shaun is the correct guy to take over from Richo, should have happened in 2 years time when Shaun is ready.
Sounds like Richo has been giving him a crash course these past 3 months though . I’m wondering if that’s why negotiations have stalled with players who don’t have as ticking clock like Bula .eg . the May brothers

You can believe the Large reason if you want but he’s playing SG ball mate on the weekend. Not even close to first grade especially at fullback when he’s a half ??
Richo sent Taylan to rehab and signed him to a T&T afterward to protect the club then extended him when he showed he was in the right head space. Correct practice.
Again, starford’s shoulder injury that is apparently chronic was after he extended. Star has been injury prone since he arrived at the club years ago but that’s definitely Richo’s fault.

You can't really blame Large going on him he probably thought Galvin was staying at the time he went to Manly plus it's not proven to be a loss yet he's done nothing in 1st grade.

With Taylan I thought he played it right, he had no idea if he was straight up signing a head case and made him jump through some hoops to make sure.

As for Toa we don't know when they found out the injury couldn't be repaired for all we know they might have gone in to fix it and found out that way, after the extension.

Everyone makes C ups nobody can be perfect at what they do but if you can't see the hand he had in turning this club around, you're just blind to the fact.

Why would you extend an under performing injury prone centre for 3 years ?

You have to laugh
If there werent blatant attempts to assassinate richos character by twisting what was said then maybe I would. And whenever the misrepresentation of facts are called out, its conveniently ignored. They arent off the cuff comments, its done with intent. The same thing happened in the HBG thread.

Cmon.

We are still training up Latu Fainu. Onitoni Large is just starting first grade now.
Can't blame Richo for knocking back a spoon to grow "talent".

We would have had to punt either Galvin or the Fainu's. Clearly we needed the Fainu's (or at least Samuela).

It failed, wrong decision, wrong manager. Yet were still trying to sign Bula/Issac Moses clients. It's the same mistake.

The only reason why this club is on an upwards trajectory is because of Shane Richardson. Despite what some people on here want to claim about him the man has proven multiple times that he can turn struggling clubs into powerhouses & was planting the seeds for that to happen at WT's. It is extremely concerning to hear that Shaun lacks experience on the football side of things & even more concerning that it's just Benji & Gallant recruiting players. Benji already has one of the toughest jobs in trying to get us to the top 8 & on top of that he has to scout & recruit? it is a recipe for disaster. The HBG are a disgrace for pushing out the only person who had what it takes to do what WT's needed. And while Shaun has said all the right things so far, as others have alluded to i'm afraid the job has come two years too early for him. (Hence why Richo promoted him to Head of Football)

Yeah, its a complete no brainer signing a guy who for a period of time thought he was Jesus
It really was.

Taylan is the first center I have seen actually threaten the other team since Moses Suli.
Ok was going to say Lawrence, but in fairness Suli could scare.

Seriously we have so been let down in this area:
Justin Olam (I was really hoping)
BJ Leulia
James "jet" Roberts.

Meh, guy can think he is Jesus as long as he crosses the line and doesn't turn the other cheek in a tackle.

His first interview with the club was extremely concerning. A lot of people wouldn't have given him another opportunity
