Yeah Moltz was def fullback in the game we lost Taniela, which makes me wonder if gallant was even in the team?

I remember Gallant playing v Bulldogs, I think Benji pulled out late with a stomach bug so Gallant was goal kicker. gallant played alright but missed a pretty easy conversion let off the pressure a bit and we went on to lose.

That's the game I remember most from him. Maybe if he made that kick and we won, he'd be a superstar by now?

Yep you are right. If I recall correctly Gallant picked up a leg injury in the game the previous week and Moltz was shifted back to fullback. It was one of Moltz's better games at fullback.

Gallant tried hard but wasn't quite a first grader.
Should go allright for Newtown.

Gallant was also fullback right through that streak in 09\. He played vs Souths, Cows, Raiders, Manly and I think he got injured vs Roosters at SFS. Moltzen got shifted to fullback and Lui debuted at 7.

Should have played a lot more first grade at the Wests Tigers after Hodgo left. Wasn't part of the Sheens click though. Was then shown the door to make way for Lote. Played for Narellan last season. Think he is with Newtown this year.

He asked for a release from his final year with us when offered a 2yr contract with the Cowboys who saw him as a direct replacement for Matt Bowen who had been ruled out for a lengthy stint injured. - He took it as he had too much competition for a spot at WT's and it was a longer contract.
- You're right, He definitely should have played more FG with us (And probably would have if he hadn't got injured at the back end of 09 when we were on a run)
I still say losing him was the beginning of the end of our 09 campaign…
Tank was the last straw!!

It was the the end of our 09 charge when he went down. Not because he was so great, but because it upset the balance of the side. Moltzen was forced to move to the back, and Lui was called up when he wasn't ready. Had he not been injured, we make the finals without a doubt.
