would have to be a second tier contract at very best or maybe a three month training contract. I would have thought their would be a list of players a mile long that would be in front of junior burger.

Anyway if the club is signing him with an eye to play in the top grade we are in all sorts of bother. My faith in Taylor will go out the window if he gets anywhere near the top grade.
 
Good old "ice skates" is trying to re-start his NRL career at WT is he?

If I am not mistaken he was the18th man to provide coverage for Pat in the 2005 GF as an untried 17 year old wasn't he? He had massive wraps on him as a schoolboy superstar - Nice work Timmy.

When Tedsco was 12 in 2005 he was still better than "skates" McDonell is today.
 
I did notice JT said that McDonnell and Lolo have to show that they are worthy of a contract,dont like their chances but wish them luck…

Maybe the money would be better spent by diverting it to Leichhardt Council towards improvements to the existing dungeon toilet at Leichhardt Oval.

Hmmm Shannon McDonnell back….he was quick...poor under the high ball though....but i thought he had dodgy knees...??

I'm more excited about the other signing, Wesley Lolo, 20yrs old, 185cm, 115kgs, strong hard running second rower, he was a beast with the Dragons Holden Cup side last year.

Bring on the footy I say...!!! Go the Tigers...!!!

That's about as random as JT recruiting rocket Rod. No need to have a coronary, he doesn't have a straight guys chance in a lesbian bar of ousting Tedesco, its purely a depth signing. So he should have the attitude of coming in and wanting to be the first choice fullback. If you come in to any team and are just happy being a depth player you might as well leave cos your attitude sucks.
 
You have to laugh though, we announce the signings of so many two bit depth players, and the club has still never officially announced Tedesco's signature.

Not sure who was official 18th man but SM was definitely on standby for Richards. We had another winger at the time who was filthy about not getting the call up.

I have met Shannon McDonnell and he is a nice guy.
I don't rate him as a player though.
 
Is McDonnell really going to go from being one of the highest paid players at Hull to playing NSW Cup for 50k?

To be fair we could probably use a winger in NSW Cup as Sila is crap, and we lost Koro, Mr T and Taukafa last year, as well as Hitchcox. Hoeter has come up, but McDonnell could certainly add some experience to the NSW Cup side. If, and only if, he is a mega standout at NSW Cup level should he be considered for an NRL gig.

Thought it was confirmed a month ago that Lolo was trialling with us?

Neither have signed yet and if they're no better than our kids then they won't. We hardly have the cash to splash on backup backup players.
 
wests tigers you are kidding please give us fan some good news. Shannon mcdonnell please it could only be for state cup he is not a 1st grader I do think he would get a run in any other team in the nrl or their state cup sides. that will do me.
 
According to the Club website Head Coach Jason Taylor is looking forward to working with both McDonnell and Lolo over the coming weeks. “We were looking to bolster our depth in both of those positions and these guys have been given an opportunity to show us if they are worthy of a contract,” he said.

Is Taylor who has probably never seen McDonnell really believe in what he is saying? In reality McDonnell would be the back-up full back behind Tedesco, Naquima, Moltzen and Rowe. There is a possibility that Simona and Nofoaloma would also fill in as fullback in front of McDonnell. Somebody must have done a good job recommending McDonnell to Taylor.
 
Soon as i read this on RLW i knew the forum would be hollering.

The saints bloke is a lump and was going pretty well for Saints last year.
