Great idea…. Johnson is exactly the type of organising half we need to moderate Moses.

@ said:Townsend and Johnson look good behind a pack that dominates but as shown on the weekend when an opposition pack dominates they are as ordinary as our halves…plus not a big fan of Townsend's No-Try celebrations...
Until the issues with our pack are addressed it wont matter who we have...
What I do find interesting is Dessie's interest in both our halves especially Brooks...if he is such a dud why would someone of Dessie caliber as a coach be even interested...
@ said:Well Brooks is over inflating but Johnson would theoretically be achievable because of his relationship with Cleary. He played his best football under Cleary. At 26 he is still coming into the prime of his career.
**_If Moses is asking for 900k and Brooks for 800k_** or so it is written I wouldn't imagine Johnson would be too far off that given DCE is the benchmark at 1.2mil and Johnson has been having consistency issues.
Also not much being said in the media about his contract which is strange. He is arguably the best player in the NRL who is off contract. 26 year old golden boot winning halfback goal kicker with 19 tests to his name. I wonder if the Warriors have the cash to sign him.

@ said:I was speaking to my someone last night who is a Warriors fan and she told me not to be surprised if we end up with Shaun Johnson if we do sign Cleary.
Apparently he is close to Ivan Cleary and with the Warriors struggling, plus having a lot of marquee signings and Johnson off contract Cleary could see him as a better option than Luke Brooks on about the same asking price.
Thoughts on if this were to happen?

Coaches make bad signings. Whats not to understand?
Hopefully Des is successful with this one.
Fair enough…I guess then we better hope the new Wests Tigers coach doesn't re-sign them probably wont be the best way to start...
I think the club should freeze negotiations with the halves until a new coach is appointed. They can sell that as the reason anyway. That will be a good way to sieze some power back from Isaac Moses. Might make these kids start to realise that his greedy approach of trying to bleed the club dry won't necessarily work. Decent player managers should be looking for more ways of making money than maximising contract value from the clubs through bully boy tactics.

As I said , I'll bet a certain back rower from the Titans will know who our next coach will be
@ said:Shaun Johnson is keen to leave NZ. He's already had discussions with St George,my mate has an impeccable source at Dragons, and while it's not a done deal, discussions are advanced. His Manager told him his career will be over in 2 years if he stays at Warriors
@ said:If I had one critiscm of SJ its he's the dominent Warriors half but so often goes missing and doesn't assert enough control of a game.
