Shawn Blore #235

Olam has also consistently played 20+ first grade games his whole career (prior to signing with us)

You couldn’t say that about Blore (until this year).

Hindsight has 20/20.

Olam’s history is pretty irrelevant before he developed the knee injury which is the concern we all had

I’ll raise you a Matt Ballin 😂
Geez, it's a deep hole to go down if we look at what we've taken on over the years.
Sure all clubs "recruit" and "hope" but .......

Like Jason Taylor applauding the signing of 18yo Mosese Suli on a 3 year contract - that never went the distance.
And the list goes on.
Oh dear goodness, let's have something positive - this "examining our past" and trying to answer the "why" cannot be good for our health. 🤔

It was a joke Joyce 🙄 Bag05 and Tom Shines are the ones having the debate, go pick on them lol.

😂 How can you raise a Matt Ballin? Didn’t we only pay $1,000 for his contract? Didn’t Manly pay the remainder?

Not at all,Manly only paid part of his first year with us (we paid a lot more than 1k closer to 120k) and we paid all of his second year which was substantial.Terrible signing from a pathetic vindictive coach and we also paid part of Farah's salary to send him to souffs because we signed Ballin

I like Blore but he's an average player; of course he's doing alright in the Bellamy system, that's Bellamy's super power.
I always thought that he is a player with a heap of potential but even under Bellamy having his best year yet, seems to have a very limited set of skills.

He doesn't have the work rate, the offload, a pass or anything. But maybe that's what Bellamy wanted. You stay in your lane, do what you're told.

It must feel good to have clarity like that though. Winning games and premierships keeps you happy too.

More importantly Blore is likely only receiving the average salary at most.

Meanwhile, WT have supposedly used the saved 2024 cap monies of the released Kepaoa and Simpkin, paying it early to Bateman as part of a restructured contract. I agree with the change to ease future salary cap pressure, still, even after doing that he will be taking up some $1.2 million or so of cap space over the next 2 seasons.

I will likely always hate Melbourne, though nonetheless wish Shawn well in the GF.
