Sheens on Nrl on Fox

You have to love loyalty, all the usual Sheens people are coming out to defend the great man. All the excuses, the same as last year and a few years before. Didnt he invent the 2010 catch phase "NO MORE EXCUSES". I could handle it if we lost every game, if I believed we were picking and using our best 17 players week in and week out but even blind Freedie will tell you that is not the case. We have a person in charge who can do what he likes when he likes because he is uncountable to anyone, the CEO,the board and the media just slap him on the back and feed his ego. Anyway 2012 season cant come sooner enough for me

Totaly agree Supercoach.., i can also put up with lossing if i know we have picked our best 17 in their correct position.

Right now it's so frustrating, just an explanation from him would do me.

I remember back in early 2000's when Justin Hodges made his State of Origin debut. He had a shocker and dropped easy balls all night and made stupid passes. Debut from Hell some called it… Justin went into a fom slump all on the back of this game and Sticky tried and tried to get him back to playing good football, but just couldnt get him to click and hold the ball.

Ironically, Ricky rang Wayne Bennett and asked a few questions about Justin and after thier conversation, they decided to get Dr Phill Johnsy to sit down with Justin. Phill replayed the Origin tapes with Justin and he asked Justin what he was thinking when he made those errors. Justin didnt know how to answer him and looked lost and asked Phill what he should do...

Phill stood up, walked up to Justin and put his hand on his shoulder and asked him "dont you know how to catch a ball?" and left the room...

I have to agree , i'm sick of the moaning in here about Sheens, it's a bit of a turn off really. Sure, i can understand the frustration fans share for our lack of form at times but lets face it, there are some unrealistic expectations placed on the team in here.

1\. Blake Lazerus was never going to star in first grade. He needs to dominate State Cup first and while he has his moments there he's not yet at that level. That will come with time though, With the time spent off the park from injuries you can't expect him to just pick up the pieces of where he left off.

2\. I'm actually going to come out and defend Daniel Fitzhenry. Okay so his reappearance this season was a little mystifying but not so bad of a decision. Make no mistake, the guy is our fall out boy, our scape goat and most weeks he'll be criticised more so out of a reputation formed by people on this forum. I think he's been solid for us this season, sure he's not a class player but guess what, not all of them are.

3\. The only thing i find frustrating with Sheens is his bench and persistence for utilities. For maybe the first 6 weeks of the season i can justify carrying a winger on the bench, other than that, it has to go! 2 months into the season and we're carrying a utility and a winger on the bench and quite frankly it's brain dead and unnecessary.

4\. In my opinion Sheens is without doubt the best man for the job at this point in time. Unless we go poaching Wayne Bennett or Craig Bellamy then i don't see need to change, purely because any replacement would be a step down. I find the criticism of Sheens carries no weight in here.

Lets face it, we're all largely uninformed and out of the loop with the happenings inside the club, Some of us like to claim to be "in the know" but really unless your source is Tim Sheens or Stephen Humphreys, your guess may be as good as joe the cameraman.

Well I am unhappy with the Fonz. His success rate to get us into the semi's is pathetic.

We have been going on about Sheens for years, in the red corner we have the Sheens ticket holders in ever decreasing numbers and in the blue corner we have the anti Sheens team getting bigger by the day. Both camps throwing up their arguments for and against him nothing changes especially results on the field.
I have said a million times Sheens is probably a top notch coach but his magic spell is not working in tiger town. Now either our so called super stars are not so good or our coach has lost the key to turn them on. The only way we are going to know is to get a new coach. It might not work but we just cant sit on our hands year in and year out and do nothing. Really how many good games have this team put together over the past four years, not many, most wins have been a struggle made of some flashy brilliance and the rest being like a team firing on three cylinders.

Anyway its still early days and we are not out of the fight, but someone has to start putting some spirit and passion in the place and a little teamwork might go a long way

Funnily enough in my search for some respite i have been surfing other teans sites and lo and behold it seems everyone is whinging about their coach.

Roosters fans moaning about having three hookers and two wingers in the centres.

Bronco fans whining about the chopping and changing.

Raider fans crying about not bringing the kids through and playing the oldies.

All want rid of their coach…...

Ps....i really enjoyed sheensie being on there,he deserves some respect and he got it.

Maybe Rugby League supporters (or part therof) just love having a whinge …....... heaven forbid there's plenty on here that do !

Honestly, how can any fair minded person argue with that? I dont care how much u love Sheens, u cant possibly come up with an argument to counter supercoach's post.
