SHEENS WRAPS LUI

Geo; Aren't you Moltz' #1 fan?
Bias opinion if there ever was one.
Lui > Moltz. Benji even said it himself, Moltz' best position is fullback.
Do you have an issue with my posting? Because all the feed back I get in my inbox is positive.

InsaneInk; easily my least favorite poster.
Always throwing jabs whenever given the chance.
As I've previously said, I've been coming here for a long time but only signed up when I saw a discussion I felt strongly about and wanted to add my thoughts and feelings.

Back on topic, there is no disputing Lui is a promising star and I don't think any player could take his position way from him at this point in time.
Sheens is right to have wraps on the kid 'cos he's awesome and only going to get better.
Love watching him play and he's rly stood up over the last few games, I hope to see him one day being the replacement for Thurston in the QLD team.

no ….Ive watched them both from when they where kids both have what it takes to play with Benji and Farah now which is great for the Wests Tigers.....I have no problem with you posting or your opinion ...I respect it in fact that it is different to mine.....

see easy....

I will put my hand up and say he looks to have improved dramatically since last year. I dare say maybe with all the bad press last year the club and Lui have had a few heart to hearts and he may not get another chance if something else comes up - so concentrate on family and footy and it seems to be working. Keep it up !

I rate them both highly - but I believe Lui is a more natural no. 7!!!

And I believe he showed it in the 20s & last year for all the latecomers who are jumping on the bandwagon after bagging him so strongly!!

"slow" - "can't tackle" - "ugly" etc etc etc…... ad infinitum!!!

Mental maturity was always the ingredient Rob needed and it appears this has been flowing into his game

FWIW I've never bagged either of them that I can recall. I think they're both astonishing players.
Moltzen may have to be used as a Craig Wing style utility #14

ofcourse he'd say that, because moltzens a better five eight than benji (even though benji's been killing it of late).

benji is often referred to as the best player in the world.
it's been said he has struggled @ half back but is an amazing 5/8
moltzen is better…. not even close.

Totally disagree MTD not sure where Moltzen fits in yet ,but not five eight . Maybe as a floating winger much like Preston Campbell did before going to Titans

look its not an opinion i expect people to agree with me on, i just see something in moltzen that seperates him from alot of creative players these days, including benji.

benji is a talent and a half, dont get me wrong. he has destroyed teams single handedly for us. the problem is, he can't kick. this is SO important for a five eight or half. you need to be able to find space to give the defensive line time to get up. there's way too many times that we'll kick it out on the full, straight to a winger/fullback and all of a sudden we are behind in the field position battle.

i personally think that he'd destory teams even more playing in the centres, where he is ALWAYS going to be 1 on 1 or 2 on 1 with his winger. he's the sort of player that WOULD score 3 or 4 tries a game… meanwhile we'd have lui at 7 and moltzen at 6\. we really dont lose anything from it.

anyway.... it'll never happen... but as a forum warrior coach i can give my opinion

Saw some stats in another thread with a story linked that the Tigers had found the earth with 66% of there kicks which I'm sure it said we were best in NRL . Maybe our kicking game is not great but those stats shot a hole in your facts about kicking game Farah and Lui should be kicking . If Moltzen is a floating winger he can slot in anywhere I'd personally like to see him in middle of field waiting for 2nd phase ball which he would be dynamite with imo

Last weeks game; Benji was kicking great (Not conversions)
The guys on Sunday Roast spoke about how good they were,
His line drop outs and kick offs were so on point.
I don't think you know what you're talking about mtd, Benji > Moltzen, clearly.

im refering to kicks in general play. goal line drop outs and kick offs should just be a matter of going through the motions. they shoulda been doing that since they were 10.

clearly 1 week of good kicks doesnt make up for the last 20000 rounds when we've had bad kicking… he's goto be some what consistent with it, which his not.

Moltzen and Lui are like comparing chalk and cheese. Its been such a long time since we've seen Moltzen play at Halfback, and Lui has really settled into the side.

If Moltzen can take a "Craig Wing" like role in the team, and be a tad more aggressive than he has in the games he's been back (lets face it, he's been not much more than a passenger at this stage) we'll really spur as an attacking team.

Imagine a quick play the ball from ayshford, moltzen scoots infield, shows to fifita inside ball to marshall, draws fullback, back inside to marshall.

next play farah, payten, marshal, lui.

then farah moltzen lui marshall.

Teams won't know what hit them.

Now let me get this right, Inside ball to marshall, draws fullback, back inside to himself, What tha? Underdog I think you had better rethink that play!

meant back to moltzen. whoops.

although i remember against parramatta two years ago, marshall pretty much "inside balled" back to himself before the around the back pass to ayshford for the try in the corner…... that was complete class..
