AS IF THIS HAPPENED
and we are only hearing about it now seriously I have met the father and spoken with him numerous times and not once has he mentioned anything about benji, said many times his son wasn’t used to losing which gave myself thoughts he would be looking elsewhere if the Tigers didn’t show improvement this year
(6 rounds not enough time imo)
By us putting the contract in front of him and asking him to make a decision now has brought his decision forward.
Only time will tell if he has made the right call.
In saying that if he is the best option for us in our 17 we should utilise him.
I can see this kid putting in every game just to try and shut people up.
How many times have you spoken with lachys dad? And in what sort of situation?

There was another post suggesting Lachy has changed clubs multiple times in juniors, often bagging the coaches, pulling Lachy off during a game and taking him home. It explains why a club like the eels decided to pay the tigers to take him off their hands.

Also, it isn't the first we are hearing of this type of behaviour, its scattered in posts across the forum by various members. Personally I just chose to ignore it until this all blew up. It fits the narrative of what's played out in the last week, doesn't it?

Are you referring to claims with anonymous Facebook posts as the source ?

I am referring to the post in the Galvin thread on this forum.

Just because it's on Facebook doesn't mean it's not true. Also doesnt make it fact. Hence why I'm asking for ppl to validate if he did walk into the change room at half time , which he has no right to do

Even the guy posting the lengthy list of stories about him says he doesn’t know how much of this to believe …

Maybe it’s true … neither of us know ..,i just wouldn’t be treating it as gospel…

Apparently he is connected through junior football. I think part of what he has said about Lachie as a junior is from experience and part of what he has said about the current Tigers situation is based off hearsay. That’s my take.

I judge people after I have met them which in this case is around 20 different occasions.
So I am saying that the person that I know doesn’t come across as what has been written.
Who knows what anyone is like behind closed doors , but I’m just expressing my thoughts of the man.

Exactly. If they buy me a beer or Merlot without me asking them - I'm willing to listen. That's for sure. My final judgement.

That's fine hence why I am asking
Ive never met the guy, so it's good to hear from people first hand
Thanks for the insights

How could we do better not knowing Galvins compiling a shitlist of garbage and their camp wants to take the club to court....how do you foresee this. Its impossible
The initial reaction from most was very emotional, I think we could have been better. Hard as most of us are humans but maybe he should have played yesterday and maybe the players keep their comments out of the socmed. I’d be trying to let him hang himself.
Either way I still back the club.

Regardless of what the dad/manager may have said or done, there is tangible evidence (eg posts on social media attributed to senior players) that they don't want to play with him. You know what they say about 1 rotten apple...
That there is some sort of friction within the dressing room is, to my mind, the elephant in the room.

OKAY... ah

Facebook, tiktok, etc SUCKS!
I remember one guy claimed "hey I am an IT person looking for something for a VIP" on Facebook was legit and 100% person X. Seriously FFS.

We now have adds, generated from AI that have more head movement then Jason Taylor doing a press confrence.

Something said on facebook from an internet rando, I give maybe 1% cred, 99% BS.

Please provide the direct quotes of him saying ANY of this.

If his manager said it on his behalf, it means much the same in as if Galvin said it himself. Unless Galvin fires him for a epic blunder.

I reckon if he was playing on Monday there wouldn’t have been the comments.
But you’ve got to remember the press statement from Richo started this. Should of waited till the bye round.

I think while we were sitting in the top eight, coming off a solid win was the time to rip the bandaid off. Imagine if he waited two months and our season had fallen away due to a few injuries, then we lose Galvin. The club would be back to where it started. There’s no perfect time but I think Richo knows how this stuff works. He’d now be hoping this rubbish goes away and we push for a finals position this year.
