Sick Of The Barba Articles

I am getting sick of all of the Barba articles leading up to the game. You would think he is the only player playing. All week it's been Barba this and Barba that. I hope the Tigers Win and smashes him in the process.

Who else agrees.

Maybe all the publicity might distract him and work to our advantage, although Hasler will do all he can to keep him focussed.

Now I know what other supporters mean when they say the same thing about benji

Barba is destroying teams. He is getting the ball and running around players. If benji was playing half as good as Barba, Benji would have an article about him every day too.

You beat me to it.

This. I'm glad the media aren't chasing Benji for this game. Atleast when we show up it'll be unexpected whereas when bulldogs fall, it'll be a shock

Pretty simple plan to negate Barba - firstly kick away from him .
Secondly when he does have the ball beat the crap out of him.
Guys like Barba wait for the lazy plays - when a tired player doesn't make that extra little bit of effort to block a hole or makes a half hearted attempted tackle.
Thats when he strikes.
I'd be trying to give him the ball where our defenders can clobber him non stop.
Make him hurt and slow him down.
And don't get lazy.

He is playing awesome and deserves all the plaudits he is getting. Seems like a decent bloke as well.

When exciting players are in form, obviously the media jumps on board, last year when Benji was on fire and '09 the Hayne plane run they got similar press.

I love watching guys like this when they are song (prob not so much this week), to me this is what footy is about

Yeah sometimes you feel as though they (the media) are talking about a game of one on one touch Benji v Barba because lets face it Barba plays touch football and so does Benji.

Wow i just had a moment of clarity and now know why Benji can't kick!
Because you can't in touch football, why has it taken me so long to put 2 and 2 together? it was soo obvious

My game plan is…..kick to him constantly for the first 15 minutes (along the ground - not in the air), and smash him hard every time.

He doesn't have to be injured, but rough him up enough so that he is a little more hesitant about getting involved. Try and zap his confidence early.

Tommy would love that game plan!

He is arguably one of the most improved players this year, the best thing is he is still 'normal', has the right attitude unlike Carney, Bird, Lui etc.
He deserves media attention as he is currently at his best, and arguably one of the best players in NRL.

Go Tigers

A bit harsh on young Barba. He hasn't gone out looking for the media attention he has recieved. His performances have dictated that.

He seems like a geniunely nice guy off the field too, he doesn't have that arrogance surrounding him like other media darlings like Benji and Hayne.
