There maybe external factors involved, ie what has happened in Beirut effected players, not a lot that could be done about that. No point going off your nut about things you have no control over.

I thought he summed things up pretty well. There was none of the '80 minute performance' and 'building a culture' rhetoric - just spoke honestly about how the game played out. Hard to fault him for that. I've already explained in another thread where we failed tonight - it's just difficult to comprehend why these poor performances sometimes arise.

We could just as easily turn up next week and have a blinder (we can always hope).

If Liddle is cleared to play then I would assume he is ready, I am not sure you can be cleared to play but only off the bench.
Talau to fullback, he seems to be able to catch.

For mine Mbye, Benji, Lawrence are out we need to give the keys to the youngsters. I’ve seen enough Luciano is the best leader we have on and off the field.

I was very disappointed with a comment by Brad Fittler, eluding to Madge’s continual changes to the starting roster each week being the cause for a lack of cohesion. Brad gets to choose his blues side from a very large pool and has the luxury of fielding the best players in the world. So he can save his criticism for when he has a real coaching challenge, then maybe someone might just take it seriously. Of course Madge doesnt have the luxury of the worlds best players desperate to get a game with the WT.
I think Madge is doing a great job of raising the players’ expectations while continually looking for combinations. imo, he is looking for players he wants to keep. If he doesn’t do it this season it will need to be done next year. The few new players have been brought in from winning clubs to help the team with an attitude adjustment. It’s a huge challenge for the coaching staff which will take some time.
