I rang Slater & Gordon years ago after we were rorted vs St George at Leichhardt Oval. The basis of the claim was the "loss of amenity" given that I was a Foxtel subscriber and was entitled to a fair game for my entertainment which was a measureable claim given the dollar value of the subscription. They said yes you have a great pointy but that if successful the NRL would be inundated each week with claims and no one would want to referee again and therefore, part 2, there would be no game of Rugby League anymore. I said that there was no game of Rugby League at the moment given the rubbish that that Ref served up.

We get rorted just about every week but , if the were no justification for the challenge, then it's as clear cut as I've seen for a decision deciding a result.
Would be interesting if our mate from Bryden's have it a go.
 
Email the NRL and ask them to outline how they were allowed to challenge. I emailed them outlining my years of involvement in the game as a fan, member, referee and coach. I requested an explanation of how 1. They were allowed to challenge and 2. The call was made for a penalty to either side in that one.

If enough people actually take the time to write to them and request a response they may start to realise they have a problem
